Intro: A crucial decision is about to be made, but then an important item gets lost and another important item takes effect. Read here what Go will do when he has to make a most important choice.

Their heated kiss quickly set the mood (and the need) for more. Hikaru hummed happily against his lover’s lips.

“Mh, Go…” he whispered and the boy in question melted against him.

Hikaru grinned inwardly. He took great pleasure in making his partner feel high, while Go thought he couldn’t be more happy. Their love-making had improved somewhat along their way together. Hikaru had not only learned to enjoy playing, but also to initiate things, to be active and to experiment – which the older boy was totally delighted with as Hikaru had turned out to have a quite creative mind. A mind he put to good use right there as he skilfully shed the heavy layers of Go’s garments over the floor.

The older boy frowned slightly. Hikaru smelled a bit musty and of what Go had come to call dust but knew originated from costumes and make-up. It covered Hikaru’s natural smell, which was a bit sad because Hikaru smelled so good, but it didn’t really bother him as more appealing things kept his mind occupied. He returned the favour, removing the other’s clothes carefully, making sure not to go too quickly as Hikaru’s clothes didn’t take nearly as long to take off as his own. Before they were even completely naked they found their way onto the futons on the floor.

“Uhn,” Go sighed out in pleasure as he felt hot and soft lips nipping on his neck.

He couldn’t get enough of Hikaru’s lips on his skin, Hikaru’s hands on his body, Hikaru’s heat covering his form, of Hikaru, Hikaru, Hikaru.

“Yes?”

A soft whisper against his ear. Go tried to focus, but couldn’t remember actually voicing. But then, he must have.

“Oh god, I…” Go tried to speak, but couldn’t really form a coherent thought. “Hikaru, please… let me be yours.”

A soft chuckle vibrated against him.

“Very well,” he kept whispering. “Then I’ll allow you to take me in, after all.”

Go had to laugh slightly at that. “Idiot.”

“Hey, that’s a privilege,” Hikaru told him, moving up a bit to show his lover a cocky grin.

“It’s a privilege to have you fuck me?” Go asked, raising a brow.

“Absolutely,” Hikaru continued playfully. “There aren’t a lot of people in this world I care enough about to make the effort.”

“Well, in that case, please make some good effort,” Go requested.

“Certainly,” Hikaru promised, kissing him lovingly.

Next one of his hands reached for the other’s dick and started stroking it.

“Oh yes,” Go sighed out, moving forward slightly to get a better position.

“You okay like that?” Hikaru asked, licking his lover’s throat and neck.

“Mh,” Go made, nodding quickly.

“Okay.”

The younger boy’s hand lifted slightly, allowing his own cock to join the fun, getting good strokes and enjoying the sensation of rubbing against the other too. They did that for a while, Hikaru stimulating them while Go kept stroking Hikaru’s back and sides with soft fingers. As they started to feel the need for more urgent stimulation things got a bit too heated.

“Nah,” Go sighed, whimpering slightly. “Hi-hikaru…”

“I know,” the younger boy sighed, stilling his hand. “Too hot. Too dry. Hold on,” he told the other as he got up and reached for the oil they kept using to make things more fluid between them. He took a good amount and spread it on his fingers. Then he went to covering both their dicks as well. When he then settled back down to continue what he had been doing before Go moaned at the new sensation. Slick friction against him made him shiver and crave for more.

“Oh god, yes,” he almost whined, moving into Hikaru’s practiced touch.

“Mh, is that good?” Hikaru mumbled around soft nips against his lover’s collarbone.

“Yeah,” the older boy sighed. “Hikaru, please, I’m so…” He broke off, face flushing.

Hikaru stopped and drew back to look at him and Go thought he would die from the loss of attention.

“Yes?” the younger boy asked softly.

“I… I want you,” Go said rather straightforward, “please, don’t make me wait.”

Hikaru blinked for a second, then smiled at his lover.

“Anything you want,” he assured the other.

When Go felt deft fingers playing around his hole he almost sighed in relief. He didn’t know why he suddenly wanted the other so bad, but his urge made him almost desperate and he was more than happy that Hikaru complied so willingly when he knew the other could play his own game and torture him with his need.

“Tell me when it hurts,” Hikaru said softly, probing and preparing him thoroughly, but quickly.

Most probably Hikaru felt the very same as he did, Go mused. Not that he saw any reason to complain. Hikaru finished his task carefully, before lathering himself up once more. Then their eyes met as the younger boy settled down between his lover’s legs.

“You do things to me that scare me,” he admitted, eyes shining. “You have no idea… I love you so much I don’t know what to do with it and sometimes I’m almost sure that I must have gone mad. You fill me up – and I don’t mean this, but you fill my mind up with happiness I never thought I would feel. I never knew I could be this happy.”

Go stared at him, feeling quite helpless. The declaration was heart-warming and yet the things that he had learned stuck in his head.

“So, you think that I’m making you happy?” he asked carefully.

“Hm,” Hikaru mused, “it’s more like you showed me that I can be happy. I don’t think I was unhappy before we met… No. No, I don’t think so. I just thought that I shouldn’t be happy. Not really anyway. I settled for being content with what life held for me, but the day I met you things changed. You gave me your true and strong feelings and you showed me that there is no need to be scared of them and I think that ever since then I have learned to be happy. And now I am stuck with these feelings and I think I’m gonna burst from their intensity.”

Go took a moment to take all of that in. He licked his lips, wondering.

“Just to be sure… Are you upset that I did this to you?” he asked.

A soft chuckle left Hikaru’s lips. “No, my dear, I’m not. But now you will have to bear what comes with it.”

A wicked grin showed on Go’s face at that. “Then give it to me already.”

That said Hikaru finally moved again, positioning himself, making sure that Go was in a good position too.

“Okay baby, here it comes.”

Hikaru choked slightly as he slowly eased into his lover. Go felt the burning sensation that had become rather well-known to him, but kept his breathing even as he concentrated on relaxing his body.

“Ah, you’re so hot,” he heard his lover’s breathless voice.

“You have no idea,” Go replied, already wanting them to melt into each other.

“Mh,” the younger boy hummed against his skin, wiggling slightly in order to help him loosen up.

“Mh, Hikaru,” Go whispered his lover’s name.

“Okay?” Hikaru asked.

As he got a nod as a reply, he began to shift carefully, moving slowly, but building pace and momentum quickly. He loved sharing this with Go, loved how the other enjoyed everything he did to him. And he wanted him to enjoy as many things as possible, so he kept switching motions, changing patterns and every new sensation would earn him a moan, a sigh, a sharp intake of breath, or a silent plea that ran through his body and made it shiver. Go seemed just as pleased with all the pleasure he received and all too soon both of them grew impatient, moving more urgently. They shared a feverish kiss that left Hikaru breathless as he kept pushing the other, now hitting his spot and making him moan incoherently.

“Hikaru, Hikaru,” Go kept repeating, his voice whiny, sounding desperate.

The younger boy braced himself a bit more and sped up his efforts, trying to please his lover. His breath was completely out of control, but he couldn’t care less, his focus completely on the man in his arms as he drove him to the edge.

“Oh god, yes, yes, yes…”

“Okay, come,” Hikaru gasp-crooned into his ear. “Just let go, let go. Let it come. Just let it…”

And then he felt the other shuddering in his arms and warm wetness against his stomach. He smiled, slowing his efforts, heaving a small sigh. He took his time turning his concentration back on his own pleasure while Go lay under him, breathing harshly and recovering from his high. Once he thought that his heart would not simply burst if he moved more demandingly, he picked up his pace somewhat again. His lover still clung to him, if only with one arm, and he moaned as he felt a tongue against his neck and clever fingers playing with his nipples. The new mix of sensations made him go mad with pleasure. He moved urgently, forcefully just for a few seconds, then stilled completely to revel in the one second when he could feel it was about to happen. Then with a low moan escaping his throat he emptied himself into his lover as his orgasm hit him in waves of pure bliss. His hips jerked a bit helplessly, then he moved slowly, lazily to ride out the feeling. A few more moans left his lips before he sighed in content, his head falling forward in exhaustion.

“Sorry,” he mumbled, still catching his breath. “Did I hurt you?”

“No,” Go answered from beneath him, stroking his back softly. “That was wonderful.”

With a soft smile on his face and the last shreds of his strength Hikaru pulled back and out of the other, immediately wrapping himself around him and snuggling them together. The following minutes were filled with silence, light strokes and soft caresses. Then Go wiggled a bit in Hikaru’s embrace and met his eyes.

“I love you,” he breathed.

The younger boy just smiled gleefully and pulled him in for a chaste kiss. “I know,” he whispered back.

“Hey,” Go complained weakly. “Aren’t you supposed to say you love me too?”

“But I already did that before,” Hikaru reminded him, a playful grin on his face.

“Well, I didn’t know you’re keeping count,” the older boy play-scoffed.

“I’m not,” Hikaru laughed happily. “And of course I love you,” he added, kissing the other once more.

Go let himself be distracted once more for just a bit longer, before he finally drew back.

“I had better get going,” he said reluctantly. “There are still some things that I should do and tomorrow will be an important day.”

“Very well, then,” Hikaru agreed, sounding just as displeased.

“Sorry.”

“No, you’re right. You go, make the world a better place,” the younger boy ordered, making a shoo-ing motion.

“Yes, sir,” Go replied with a grin as he got up and dressed himself again.

Hikaru went to help him with the layers and the obi, inspecting him closely once he thought they were done.

“Looks fine to me,” he mused.

“Well, that’s all that counts,” Go winked at him, before giving him another peck on the lips and then finally flying out the door.

Hikaru smiled after him. He stretched, sighing in content and made to clean up the mess they had created. Saito had generously offered him to let him use this room, but had also asked him to keep it clean, or at least make it so before he left. As he bent to straighten the futon his eyes caught something curious on the floor. He frowned, picking the item up to inspect it.

“Oh, shit,” he muttered as he saw what it was.

A family seal. Go’s family seal. He must have dropped it at some point without noticing it. Well, had it been any other day it would not have been all that bad. They’d meet again soon and in the meantime Go could go without, but as it was, in order to seal a contract, the other boy would certainly need this item. So, without thinking about it too long, Hikaru dashed out onto the street, trying to catch up with Go before he left town with his horse. It was a good thing the older boy always left it at a public place so people would not get suspicious, it gave Hikaru some time to catch up with him.

Running as fast as he could he took narrow corners, swiftly avoided whoever might get into his way and had he not been panting for breath, he would have sighed in relief when he came to the square and saw that Go was yet getting his horse ready. He changed directions again, hoping that he could sneak behind the bar so that people won’t see him when he suddenly felt a sharp tug and lost balance. Much to his surprise, he did not fall down, though. He blinked in confusion, then found that a grim looking man had caught him and was holding him by his collar.

“Why in such a hurry, lowlife?”

Hikaru gulped. He didn’t know this man, but he knew a samurai when he saw one – if only for their weird hair-style.

“I… I…” he stuttered, but then choked as the man tightened his grip around his throat.

The man inspected him intensely.

“Why are you running like mad, huh?” he mused, not loosening his hold.

Hikaru gasped. The scene had already attracted some attention and for a moment Hikaru hoped against hope that someone would come to his aid, which certainly did not happen. Luckily the samurai dropped him once he had taken Go’s seal from his hands, which he then inspected closely. Hikaru fell to the floor, gasping for air. That was when finally Go too turned around at the unfamiliar noises. His eyes widened at the sight. Without thinking he immediately dashed forward to cut into the scene.

“Stealing, are we?” the samurai asked almost playfully, a dirty grin on his face.

Shit, this is not good.

“What’s going on over here?”

Hikaru looked up to see Go storming up into their direction. He felt torn – happy because the other came to help him, but also scared for his lover.

“Oh, nothing much,” the man informed Go dismissively. “Just a little thief on the run,” he explained, holding Go’s seal up for emphasis.

“Wha- my seal,” Go gasped.

“Oh, it’s yours?” the man asked, raising a brow, before turning the seal to read on it. “Kurakawa-san, then?” he asked.

Go nodded grimly, grabbing for his seal. The other man, however, pulled his hand back swiftly.

“Well then, you are the man I’m looking for. What a nice coincidence. I am Asai Haruka. Ijima-sama sent me to meet you and to tell you that if you go through with your plans, the clan will definitely take action.”

“Whatever you mean to do, I cannot keep you,” Go answered roughly. “But better be warned, I am not a person you should mess with. This is my territory and I will do as I see fit and that’s the end of it.”

“Maybe we should discuss this more thoroughly in more private surroundings,” Asai suggested.

“You were the one attacking me directly,” Go told him.

“I might have been too straight-forward,” Asai admitted, “but attacking would apply to this subject a lot better,” he continued, pointing at Hikaru, who was still half-lying on the floor. “You said this was yours,” Asai concluded, finally offering the seal to Go, who quickly grabbed it and stuffed it away.

“Yes, it’s mine,” he confirmed.

“Well then, you should be thankful that I retreated it from this thief,” Asai claimed.

“But he…” Go blurted out, then stopped himself.

“Oh, do you know this person?” Asai asked, casting a quick glance at Hikaru.

“I…” Go stuttered, lost for words.

“Yes?” the samurai asked, raising a brow.

Go gulped. If he told the truth, especially out here, he’d be done with. But then, if he didn’t speak for Hikaru…

His thoughts were interrupted by a low chuckle.

“My, my, Kurakawa-sama,” Hikaru dragged out, a sneer on his face as he got up, casually wiping the dust off his clothes. “There’s no need to be embarrassed.”

“Who ever asked you, you filthy brat?” Asai shot out.

Seemingly unimpressed Hikaru’s smirk grew even more impish.

“I gave him a `special show´ today. He wanted to distract himself a bit from his worries, so he called me to play-act for him.”

“You’re an actor?” the samurai asked, wrinkling his nose in disgust. “I never understood what the rulers see in kabuki.”

“Come and find out,” Hikaru offered sinfully, closing in on the taller man.

Asai shoved at him forcefully, sending him to the floor once again. Hikaru cursed, gasping in pain.

“Stay away, you filthy cat,” Asai shot out. “Thief,” he accused.

“Stop it now,” Go cut in once more. “He isn’t…”

“What on earth is your problem?” Asai asked him harshly. “Are you dense? That sneaky brat just took your seal from you. Most probably to buy himself some sweet luxury.”

“B-but…” Go stuttered, feeling helpless.

“Mah, gomen ne,” Hikaru chirped with a cocky wink. “No harsh feelings there, Kurakawa-san. I had really planned to give it back to you too… maybe.”

“How dare you speak to your superior like this?” Asai demanded. “And to this sort of people you want to give rights?” he asked ardently, turning back to Go. “They are scum.”

“Yes, I am,” Hikaru agreed, his voice turning rather flat and his face dark. “I guess I should apologise properly after all.”

With that he went over to Go and fell onto his knees in front of him, bowing his head to the floor.

“Go, listen to me,” he whispered. “Just… act with me, okay? No arguments now. You are the one who can change the world and I am just… a dead man.”

Go gulped as he took in the other’s words.

“I apologise in all honesty,” Hikaru finally said out loud.

“What, you little shit?” Asai cursed as he walked over to grab Hikaru again. “Do you think that’s gonna save your throat?”

In a motion too quick for even Go to make out, Hikaru grabbed his lover’s small sword and drew it, directing it right at Asai.

“Not quite likely,” he sneered. Much to his delight the other men who had come with this guy braced themselves and started to close in on him. “But if I’m going to die, I want to take some of you with me,” he announced.

“You will be on the floor before you can even swish that thing a single time,” Asai promised him.

“We’ll see about that,” Hikaru retorted. “We commoners are not as stupid or useless as you guys keep telling yourselves. We are worthy people too. And the day will come when the working society will rule this country, having gotten rid of you useless snobs, your heads decorating our city walls.”

“I’ll make you eat those words,” Asai declared and with that dashed forward, drawing his own sword.

Then chaos broke out. Hikaru swung the sword in his hands, but it was heavy and hard to direct. Even so he kept picking it up, raging wildly, trying to hit. Once or twice he thought he felt resistance against the blade, but before he could even make sure whether he had hit, let alone check what it might have been, something else caught his attention again and so he just kept running, probably screaming, he couldn’t tell. But then everything seemed to switch to slow-motion as he saw a blade swinging swiftly into his direction. Breath hitching, Hikaru waited for the hit, but then the sword fell from the guy’s hand and he sank to the floor. And suddenly everything stopped. The raging, the movements, the noises, even the wind. Everything. An icy silence covered the entire place as Hikaru stared in horror at a blood-stained blade that was gripped tightly by shaking hands. Then it slipped to the floor and Go did the same, staring at his bloody hands.

“What have you done?” Hikaru asked desperately, tears in his eyes. “Why?!” he raged, flying at the other, hitting at him half-heartedly as if to yet beat some sense into him. “You couldn’t have saved me. Why did you do that?”

Then all his strength left him and he slumped against Go’s frame, shaking with sobs.

“Because my head is one of those which should decorate the city walls,” Go whispered out.

“No,” Hikaru opposed, shaking his head against his lover’s chest. “No, no, not you. Not you,” he whined weakly.

“I’m sorry,” Go whispered to him, pulling him close and holding him tightly. “I wasn’t strong enough, please forgive me.”

As Go felt Hikaru being dragged out of his embrace, he closed his eyes in defeat. He knew that there was nothing he could do now. There never had been and all he had done was to mess everything up that he could have done to make up for what was inevitable now.

“Take his head,” Go heard Asai order into his group of men and started to shake helplessly. He couldn’t look up. But he thought that Hikaru most probably didn’t want him to. And then he knew it happened. He didn’t even hear it. He just thought he felt a slight swish through the air and he jumped as though a blade had just cut his own throat.

“Kurakawa-san,” he heard Asai’s voice next to him. “Even though you just killed one of my men I cannot do this to you. But you will have to atone for your crime, I am sure you know that.”

Go heaved out a sigh, trying to stop his sobbing. But he couldn’t find any strength in himself. The only thing he managed was a short nod before he got up miserably and without picking up any of his belongings ran from the scene as fast as he could.

Okay... I know it's tough. Believe me, this was not easy for me either. First, to those who did not see this coming... Have you watched the PV? (Sorry, that's most uncalled for, isn't it? But it's just a fact that I had the idea when I watched the PV. I'll also admit that I had planned this from the very first line.) I wonder whether people feel bewildered now. I know I should have put a warning at the beginning, but that would have taken the point of reading it away - and I couldn't even write that in the warning, because another author bet me to that trick.

I hope you will forgive me and I would still like you to read on and learn about Go's fate and what will happen to everybody else. Please support them until the very end. The following part is more like a glimpse at what the characters will be doing from here, what fate they will meet and how they will live. I hope I can still bring things to a good end. So, if you will, please follow the link to the epilogue.
