Notes: So, here it is, FINALLY. This is a... well, a late birthday present for my dear
Intro: After a show recording Kame turns down Sho's advances. Then, however, something totally unexpected happens...
“Once upon a time there was a Kame. Anybody who saw it was amazed by its appearance and wanted to befriend it. But that Kame was a moody little bitch and so, after just a very short amount of time, whoever approached him retreated again in distaste…”
“Wow,” Nino commented with a sly grin, watching as his band-mate grumpily flung himself on a seat in the corner “got yourself a turn-down?”
“You know,” Sho growled, “there’s a nice way to refuse a date… and then there’s Kamenashi.”
Jun had to laugh at that. “That’s sweet,” he grinned. “Sho-kun’s complaining about manners…”
The other merely shot him a glare, but did not comment the teasing remark.
“Guess he’s just mad, because Leader-san got to see him naked,” Nino grinned.
“It wasn’t exactly spectacular,” Ohno shrugged.
At that Jun shifted his attention to his lover. “Look who’s bragging.”
“I’m not,” Ohno denied, although his cheeks blushed slightly. “I said it wasn’t…”
“The usage of the word alone,” Jun interrupted him, “does the trick. You closed your sentence with spectacular, so that’s what will stay in mind.”
“And you think I did that on purpose?” Ohno asked, frowning.
“I happen to know that you’re a subtle, but painful tease,” Jun winked at him.
“Eat me,” Ohno bit at him, turning away to end their argument.
“Way ahead of you, honey,” Jun called after him merrily.
Ohno merely gave him the finger, which made Jun laugh and finally leave the subject.
“Wow,” Aiba mused, eyeing Jun in amusement, “you’re in a good mood today. How come?”
Jun blinked at him. “What do you mean, how come? As you just heard, I’ll get some delicious ass tonight. Why wouldn’t I be happy?”
Aiba blushed furiously at that. “Really, Jun, I wish you’d be more discrete about these things.”
“Right,” Jun sighed out. “Sorry, I forgot, you’re kinda reserved when it’s about that. Actually, you’re reserved with quite a lot of things.” He laughed slightly. “You know, probably you should be dating Kamenashi, that might work,” he joked. “You two have quite a few things in common.”
Aiba blinked at that, taken aback by the suggestion. Dating Kame? No way. They didn’t really have anything in common. At least he couldn’t think of anything. But then, he didn’t really know the other well, so strictly spoken, he couldn’t really be sure. He blinked again. Maybe they did have stuff in common and he didn’t even know. He bit his lip, thinking about that. Jun merely shook his head as he understood the other had drifted off into a train of thoughts, shifting his attention back to Nino, who was going on about how the spotlights always ruined his make-up within minutes.
“Otsukare-sama desu.”
Everybody looked up as Kame stuck his head in to say good-bye before leaving the studio. He got meek response by hands waving and slight head nodding. Kame then gave a slight bow and made to leave. In that very moment Aiba shot up from his seat.
“Kamenashi-kun,” he called through the entire dressing room. “Go out with me tonight?”
Everybody stared. It seemed like Aiba only realized in that moment what he had done, suddenly feeling very self-conscious.
“Wha-?” Kame gaped. “You… you mean go on a date with you?”
Aiba bit his lip. He felt stupid for bursting out like that. Why was it that he never finished a thought before jumping up and doing something… like that. Well, he’d look even more stupid if he backed down now, so he decided that he had to pull through.
“Well, I didn’t mean leaving the building together, if that’s what you were wondering.”
Jun gave a playful cat-call. “Look at this, a new playboy’s in town.”
Kame glared at him, but then quickly shifted his attention back to Aiba. He frowned.
“I totally don’t get… why you would like to date me,” he stated. “We haven’t even talked with each other much.”
“That’s it exactly,” Aiba explained. “I was thinking that even though we get to see each other regularly, we don’t know each other at all. So we should get together and see if we can forge some kind of connection.”
At that kame blinked. “Well…”
“We could… just have dinner?” Aiba offered.
Why was he even trying so hard.
That thought was quickly forgotten, though, as something very unexpected happened.
“Okay, fine then,” Kame finally answered. “Let’s… have dinner.”
While Jun and Nino cheered silently, Sho stepped forward, a frown on his face.
“Hold on, now, a second,” he bit out. “I almost proposed asking you out for a date. And I gave you a rose. This guy just lost control and yelled through the entire room with all of us in it. And you’re telling me now that after you ditched me you’re going out with him?”
“Yes, Sho-kun,” Kame sneered at him, “because, believe it or not, your sleazy approach is way out-of-date. Not to mention that you’ve pulled it off too many times. I wonder what kind of guy still falls for it. You act all charming and stuff, but once you got what you wanted – or should I rather say after you got out what you wanted, you’ll just drop your victim without even looking at it again. I’m not cheap like that.”
Sho practically glared death at him, but did not do or say anything.
“Well, Aiba-kun,” Kame turned his attention back towards the guy who had asked him out so suddenly, “shall we go now?”
Aiba blinked, wondering what to do. Only after Jun gave him an encouraging nod he too nodded his head eagerly.
“S-sure,” he muttered warily, “let’s go.”
“Good,” Kame nodded back.
Aiba quickly packed all of his stuff together and rushed to Kame’s side. Once more he looked back at the rest of his group.
“Have fun,” Nino called, waving.
“Thanks, guys,” Aiba smiled timidly. “See you.”
With that he and Kame swept out the door and in that very second the huge tension that had built up in the room seemed to vanish, making Jun even sigh in relief.
“Ah, should we grab something too?” he suggested into the round.
Apparently the issue wasn’t finished yet, though.
“Do you guys think that too?” Sho suddenly asked. “What he said?”
Nino bit his lip at the delicate question. Even Jun got nervous again.
“Bullshit,” Ohno finally answered. “It might well be true, you’re probably not the best choice when someone’s looking for something long-term, but you even say that yourself, don’t you? You’re just not looking for that kind of thing right now and if he wants something different, it’s understandable that he turned you down.”
“But he said it like I was luring people into my bed lying to them,” Sho argued. “I don’t do that. I mean, what’s wrong with being nice to someone you want to share a bed with? And compliments are a nice thing, aren’t they? I never once took anybody home with promises of love and shit.”
“I know,” Ohno nodded, clasping his shoulder. “Look, nobody here is judging you.”
“I am.”
All eyes went to Nino, who had raised his hand.
“Sorry,” Nino shrugged, “but I just don’t get that kind of lifestyle. I think it’s shallow. Not saying that I’m thinking you’re a bad guy, I know there’s a whole bunch of people out there enjoying these things just the way you do, but I can’t help thinking that if you keep doing just that without ever going into commitment… It just seems like you’re a bit careless when it’s about other people’s feelings. And I don’t get that either. I happen to know you can be very caring, so why not when it’s about that?”
Sho didn’t quite know what to say.
“Well,” Ohno cut in, “the essence of it is… that we love you.”
He looked back at Nino for confirmation and felt relieved when the other nodded.
“We do. I said I don’t think it’s really a bad thing, I just totally don’t get it.”
“And if you’re not looking for a relationship right now,” Jun said flatly, “it’s your choice. It’s okay to have fun, so long as you don’t cheat. And you don’t,” he stated, looking at Sho directly, “so… fuck Kamenashi.”
“What if he and Aiba end up together?” Sho asked suggestively.
“Then Aiba-chan can do the fucking,” Jun shrugged.
“Okay,” Ohno cut in. “Time for dinner, children. Let’s grab something.”

“Sooo,” Kame dragged out. “you adopted that cat now?”
Aiba merely nodded.
Make sighed. “Is it that you don’t talk while you’re eating, or did something happen to your voice? This was the third entry I gave you, but you never answer.”
Aiba sighed. “I’m sorry,” he muttered. “I’m pretty bad… with dates.”
“No,” Kame told him, shaking his head, “I am bad with dates. You are… unbelievable.”
“Sorry,” Aiba laughed slightly.
“Yay, finally a line that worked,” Kame joked. “Gotta remember that one.”
Again, Aiba nodded. But just when Kame thought they were going back to scheme, the other decided to say something.
“I guess we shouldn’t be dating,” he mumbled timidly.
Kame blinked, confused. “Why?”
“Well,” Aiba muttered timidly, “you have a dog, right? I don’t think that would work well.”
Kame smiled at that. “Oh, that can work out pretty well,” he explained. “I know of several situations where cat and dog live together peacefully.”
“Really?” Aiba beamed. “That would be great.”
“Wow, going from we shouldn’t be dating to let’s move in together in five seconds,” Kame grinned.
At that the other blushed. “That’s not what I…”
“Relax,” Kame smiled at him. “When you’re being so nervous… you’re tempting me. I’m quite the tease, you know.”
Aiba sighed. “Somehow I think I can never live up to another guy’s level.”
At that Kame frowned. “Why would you think something like that?”
“Well,” the other shrugged, “I just don’t have any really strong points. It’s like… I’m a kind of flat character, you might say. You know, people hardly ever dislike me, because I try to appeal and I get along well enough with pretty much anybody, but at the same time most of the time they look through me, or maybe find me pleasant company, but nothing more. I don’t think I ever had anyone asking me out, let alone confess to me.”
Kame stared at him. Then he frowned again. “Why did you ask me out tonight,” he asked, sounding disturbed.
Aiba blinked at him. “Eh? What do you mean, why? I thought it would be worth a try to get to know you.”
The other gave him a stern look. “So it was not in order to win over one of your band mates?”
Aiba gasped at the suggestion. “WHAT?!”
“Oh, you heard me,” Kame bit at him. “You know, you got a wisp of how I turned Sho-kun down and then thought there’s your chance to do something he wasn’t capable of. You’re the nice guy, after all, I wouldn’t turn you down. Even if I did, I wouldn’t do it same as I did to him.” Kame sighed in frustration. “Of course, there’s got to be a trick like that to it. It was too weird, the way you asked me out.”
Aiba had started shaking his head half-way into the out-burst and finally he found his voice again.
“No, no, no, no, no,” he insisted. “How can you…” He sighed. “I would never do something like that. How can you… See? That’s the kind of person I am. I couldn’t even think of such a thing, let alone try to pull it, and I can’t believe you constructed something like this so quickly. When I asked you I didn’t even think of Sho. Damn, am I really such a (naivchen) to assume you wouldn’t think I had second thoughts about asking you out? Is it normal to be like that? Always assuming people want to do you in?”
Kame bit his lip. Aiba looked like he was close to tears.
“I…” he stuttered. “No,” he finally got out. “No, you… I’m sorry, it’s not you, okay? You’re not the one who’s weird, I am. Somehow I always tend to expect the worst of people. I’m sorry, okay?” He offered a genuine smile. “You see, I’ve had quite some shit to deal with, so I guess I’m not exactly trusting, especially when I don’t really know someone. Actually, I think it’s quite amazing you can approach people in such a carefree way. It must be so cool.”
Aiba stared at him. “You… you think it’s amazing?”
“Quite,” Kame nodded. “I would want to go about it like that too. Maybe you can teach me how to lighten up a bit.”
Aiba chuckled at that. “Sure,” he agreed. “And maybe you can teach me how to bitch at people, so they won’t ignore me anymore.”
“Sounds like a deal,” Kame laughed.
“You know,” Aiba mused. “It’s weird. Even though we’re so different with these things, we still have something in common.”
“Eh?”
“We both want to change,” Aiba explained. “Just a bit.”
Kame smiled at him. “I guess that’s true.”

Date: 2012-12-22 03:50 pm (UTC)Kame's character is sooo cool. He is the perfect mixture between cute and bitchy. I love Kame who can say what he wants, and who isn't the weak and helpless character. <3
Aiba-chan on the other side is totally different, I love that. He is so carefree and so naiv. ^^ I love that. The scene where he asks Kame out is just brilliant. <3
Jun you are my hero. *lol* He and Ohno are really the perfect couple. ^^
Sho's the one who gets everyone but Kame *lol* Poor Sho, but cool Kame. :P
I am really curious how they'll help each other from now on. <3
Thanks soooo much for this start of a multi. <3 I am already totally in love with that one, and I really want to know how it will go on.

Date: 2012-12-24 12:09 am (UTC)Haha, yes Kame. Like, he can be really bitchy, but he's also a wary kind of character and that makes him cute. ^^ Sweet boy. <3
Well, I guess Aiba really is a bit naive. Or maybe more like... inexperienced. He's just loving and he goes about thigns his very own special way. I agree, his outburst was pretty cool. A first rise of a new courage? ^_~
LOL! I told you, Juntoshi just... I don't know, they just happen. XD And Jun is always <3 He's perfect, because he'll always do and talk as he pleases, which can be an advantage in so many ways. ^^
I don't knwo why... somehow Sho always turns out a bit of a jerk when I write him. ^^" Ah, but he'll get a good background story, of course. ^_~ I don't know how he turned into an easy guy. XDDD I think it'll be fun to write him. ^^
I'm really so happy that you like it. I'll try to update really soon. :D
Thanks so much for reading and for your wonderful comment!!! <3<3<3
