Aiba bit his lip nervously. His eyes kept glancing at Jun, wondering how to approach him. The second later that problem was solved for him.
“Hey,” Jun addressed him, throwing an arm loosely around his band mate. “Want a picture? That’ll last longer.”
Aiba blushed at that. “Sorry,” he mumbled.
“Nah,” Jun waved him off. “I’m just kidding.”
Aiba chuckled nervously.
Jun blinked. “Something wrong?”
The other started fidgeting with his fingers. “Ano… The thing is…”
“Yes?”
A deep breath. “I want to date Ryo-kun.”
Jun blinked at that. “Eh?”
“I want to…”
“I heard you,” Jun interrupted him. “I mean… why are you telling me this?”
“Well,” Aiba muttered warily, “you used to go out with him, didn’t you? And I just don’t want to… you know, be awkward.”
Jun started to laugh at that. “That’s what you’re worried about? Never mind,” he assured the other. “Me and Ryo… that totally didn’t work. I won’t mind if you date him, if that’s what you were wondering about.”
Jun could physically feel the tension leaving Aiba’s body as the other heaved a sigh of relief.
“So you won’t be mad?” he wanted to confirm.
“Not at all,” Jun assured him, shaking his head. "Just be careful… the kid bites.”
Aiba blinked at that. “Huh?”
Jun just gave him a mysterious grin and with that left the issue, moving to attend to Nino, who had once again stuffed too much food in at once and needed some meds for his stomach.

Ryo blinked. “Go out?” he asked, sounding surprised.
Aiba nodded. “If you… want to.”
Ryo frowned slightly. “Ah, just to be sure… we’re talking about a date, right?”
The other blushed at that, but nodded.
Ryo smiled at him. “Sorry, it’s just that you’re kind of subtle and I tend to misunderstand. Well,” he mused, “why not?”
“Really?” Aiba beamed. “Cool. Ah, Jun’s okay with it.”
“I know,” Ryo nodded. “We talked about that kind of thing.”
At that the other blinked. “You did?”
Ryo nodded. “Yeah, he wanted to date… a friend and it was a similar situation, so we discussed it.”
“I see,” the other man nodded back. Then he blinked. “Eh? Who was it?”
“Not telling,” Ryo told him. “Friend’s secret.” When Aiba kept looking at him in interest he merely shook his head. “Look it didn’t go too well and that’s all I’ll be telling you, else I’d feel bad about it.”
“Well, I guess I understand that,” Aiba smiled. “But then… we have a date?”
“Sure,” Ryo chirped happily.
And so they set up a first date. It still felt a bit weird, Aiba decided, but Ryo was so cute, he’d definitely try to win his heart.

Aiba and Ryo’s first date was… disastrous. To say the least. The restaurant was crappy, the food hideous, then they were spotted by paparazzi who took pics and to make things worse roused a bunch of fangirls, so they had to make a run for it in the end. Then it started to rain and neither of them had an umbrella, so they ended up hiding under a bridge, being thoroughly wet.
“Fantastic,” Aiba whined. “Now we’re stuck.”
Ryo sighed. “Well, it could have gone better…” Suddenly he had to start laughing, though. When Aiba gave him a weird look his gave an apologetic smile. “Sorry, but… it’s really kinda funny, isn’t it? At least it’s a date I’ll never forget.” When Aiba still looked sour, he considered something else. “Hey, my place isn’t far off. You can drop in with me and… well, I can’t exactly offer you spare clothing, but we can dry your stuff.”
“That would be nice,” Aiba agreed quickly.
And so they rushed off towards Ryo’s apartment. By the time they were there they were wet and freezing. Ryo quickly got them towels and he even found a sweater that Aiba could wear and a blanket he could cover the rest of himself with.
“Thanks,” Aiba smiled thankfully.
“Sure thing,” Ryo smiled back. “Just wait here, I’ll get us something to warm up.”
Aiba blinked after him, but waited patiently, flipping through a few magazines until Ryo returned to the room, two cups in hands. It smelled nice and sweet.
“There you go,” Ryo offered, handing him one cup.
“Thank you,” Aiba responded, accepting the item.
Warmth spread through his body immediately. He took a small sip and sighed happily. Hot chocolate. That was really nice. Ryo seated himself next to him, taking a sip from his own cup. They sat like that for a while, enjoying their hot drink and warming up.
“What a date,” Ryo finally concluded.
“It was downright horrible.”
“Well,” Ryo mused,” technically it’s not over yet.”
Aiba blinked as Ryo gave him a curious look.
“Ne,” Ryo whispered, taking a look into the cup. “You don’t like marshmallows?”
Aiba blushed, seeing how Ryo had noticed he had refused the sweets.
“Ah, not really,” he admitted. “Sorry.”
“Let me have them?” Ryo asked playfully.
Aiba nodded, offering his cup.
“Mh,” Ryo made, biting his lip cutely. “I don’t want to finger around in there.”
“Okay,” the other mumbled. “Then…”
His fingers twitched nervously as he dipped them in, fishing out a marshmallow and holding it up. Before he could even offer it properly, Ryo dashed forward and ate it right from his grasp. Aiba blushed at that. His heart started beating faster, but he happily dipped right back in, picking up another treat. He held it up and Ryo swallowed it eagerly, this time nibbling slightly on the fingers feeding him, before giving a playful bite.
Aiba yelped, more in surprise than pain, looking at a grinning Ryo. Jun’s words came to his mind.
The kid bites.
“Mh,” Ryo hummed, grinning mischievously. “Sweet… You should have some,” he decided and with that dipped down to place a kiss on Aiba’s lips.
The other first froze in surprise, but soon found his way into it, enjoying a truly “sweet” kiss.
