Intro: This is quite recent. Almost today. Starting of the promotion for this year's tour. KinKi Kids have a magazine interview. Many questions, lots of answers, a bit of confusion and some suggestiveness. KinKi Kids at their best. ^^

Note: Finally I'm answering the request by dear [livejournal.com profile] i_ate_a_panadol . I hope you'll like it, I gave it my very best. The last part hit me on the spot. I wonder whether it turned out okay. ^^" Anyway, hope you enjoy.

“So, what’s the colour of your underwear today?” the interviewer asked cheerfully.

Koichi growled slightly.

Tsuyoshi quickly covered by laughing lightly. “Why is that so interesting?” he asked.

“Well,” the woman shrugged, “it feeds a girl’s fantasy, ne?”

“I guess so,” he sighed. “Well, unspectacular as always, mine’s black.”

“Koichi-kun?” the woman asked expectantly.

Koichi thought about it another second, then simply shook his head. “Nope, I’m not saying.”

“Oh, is it suggestive?”

“And if it was, it’d be none of your business,” Koichi bit out, but saved the mood by pouting a bit. “If you want to know so bad, you can ask him,” he said, pointing at Tsuyoshi.

Clever.

“Oh, you know?” the interviewer asked gleefully.

“Well,” Tsuyoshi shrugged, “we got to share a dressing room today, so I would have seen. It’s just that… I didn’t really pay attention to Koichi-san’s underwear, so if you’re going to ask me, I’ll have to check.”

That brought a small smile to Koichi’ face.

The woman laughed too. “Maybe we should leave it, then.”

“That might be a good idea,” Tsuyoshi agreed.

Koichi sighed inwardly. Magazine interviews. They went from boring to extremely unnerving. Today’s was unnerving. The interviewer was such an obvious fangirl Koichi felt he was gonna be sick. And not the cute kind like Becky. She was underlyingly demanding and suggestive and her attitude tore his nerves into shreds. Tsuyoshi had certainly noticed he was feeling uneasy and tried to give him as many reassuring gestures as he could. Light touches, soft smiles, a small nod, reassuring looks. And just that effort had Koichi try hard to pull through.

“Okay, on to the next question,” the woman decided, flipping through her notes. “Right: What was the biggest disaster you two ever had on stage?”

They both blinked at the question. It was certainly not a regular and probably it would never go into print, but it was interesting and that also was enjoyable.

“The biggest disaster,” Koichi mused. “Well, we’ve had quite some,” he admitted. “Our pre-debut was disastrous altogether.”

“Agreed,” Tsuyoshi nodded. “But that’s kind of the way things run.”

“Yeah,” Koichi agreed. “Then we had that thing about your pants. Hong Kong, was it?”

“Yes, yes,” the younger man nodded, “when I lost my pants. But that happens to a lot of people on stage.”

“It does.”

“How about 04 to 05 New Year’s concert?” Tsuyoshi suggested. “We barely talked to each other.”

“Ah yes, that was bad,” Koichi remembered. “But the worst part of that was still backstage.”

“True. Then during You. Your mess-up of `Mou kimi´?”

“Wah, that was awful,” Koichi agreed, making a face.

“You’re famous for messing up your lyrics, but that one was particularly bad. We took almost an hour to get back on track.”

“But that was your fault too, in part,” Koichi demanded.

“Yes, yes,” Tsuyoshi waved him off. “Any other suggestions?”

“Well,” Koichi mused, eyeing his partner. “For me, our biggest on stage disaster was 06 to 07 New Year’s concert.”

“Oh god,” Tsuyoshi moaned out, slapping him lightly. “Do you have to bring that up? It’s so embarrassing.”

Koichi chuckled lightly. “It was the biggest, wasn’t it?”

“Probably,” Tsuyoshi sighed.

“What was that?” the interviewer finally found her way back into the conversation.

The two of them had talked quite casually amongst themselves, leaving her out completely. Actually, they both blinked when she spoke up again, as though they had forgotten she was there.

“Okay,” Koichi started to relate, “it was on the 1st of January in 07. We had our big concert in Tokyo Dome. And we had decided to prepare a special treat as our second encore, a live performance of “Music of Life”. There was no mentioning of it, neither in the program, nor the pamphlet, not even a blog. But somehow… well, a reporter somehow caught word of it and so the news got out and suddenly it was presented openly for everybody to see.”

“Oh, okay, that’s tough,” the woman agreed.

“Well, we’d spent a lot of time preparing it and a lot of effort was put into it, so it was disappointing. Of course, we decided to do it anyway. However, when we were there on stage the feeling was very off.”

“I couldn’t help feeling betrayed, even by the people who had come to see us,” Tsuyoshi admitted. “It might be stupid to you, but I felt that way. I couldn’t understand why we couldn’t have a single thing just to ourselves, why people would not leave it to us to come out with it.”

Koichi smiled affectionately at him. “You were really disappointed.”

“Stop looking at me like that,” Tsuyoshi demanded. “I might have over-reacted a bit.”

“Overreacted a bit?” Koichi asked, chuckling. “You simply left stage, without even saying good-byes.”

“He just ran off?” the woman asked, enthralled.

Koichi nodded. “One moment he was standing next to me, next moment he was gone,” he laughed out, looking at the other playfully. “I was so shocked, I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t sure if hadn’t lapsed, or something. I closed the whole concert within about a minute.”

“Wow, that’s quite amazing,” the interviewer stated, scribbling into her little book.

“Well, I wanted to make sure he was okay,” the older man explained. “Backstage I found him somewhere between furious and devastated.”

“Yes, yes, I know. It was completely ridiculous,” Tsuyoshi growled slightly.

“I’m not saying that,” Koichi stated. “But you could have waited just 10 more minutes. It would have been better to yell at the reporters, rather than leave our fans hanging.”

“I know that,” the younger man pouted. “I couldn’t help it at that moment. When strong feelings hit me, they just break out of me and there’s nothing I can do.”

“Of course, there is,” Koichi opposed. “You know what you learned in therapy.”

“I didn’t exactly feel like practising breathing patterns, or counting glow sticks,” Tsuyoshi mumbled.

Koichi chuckled. “This is quite rare,” he told the interviewer. “Tsuyoshi’s always an upright man. He lectures me a lot too. It’s really rare that he’ll feel this embarrassed about something and I can tease him so.”

“Well, what did you do after you left the stage?”

“We went home,” Tsuyoshi explained with a shrug. “Well, I regretted my strong reaction soon. I didn’t really sleep that night either. So, I wrote an apology letter to our fans who had really only come to support us. I’m not sorry for my reaction. I still think I was right being furious. But I admit I should have expressed it in another way.”

“So, you regret what you did, not what you felt?” the interviewer asked.

Tsuyoshi nodded. “In the end, it was a very profitable experience. Looking back on this incident now, I think I can control myself better, and I won’t easily act so impulsively again. I’ve grown as a person and today I can consider other people’s feelings more. Like the feelings of our fans back then, who had come to give us their love and support. At that time, I carelessly destroyed the atmosphere they had brought to us, even though they had not wronged us in the slightest. I regret that. And ever since I’ve only ever tried to do better.”

“And he’s doing great,” Koichi added merrily.

Tsuyoshi smiled at that. “Why, thanks.”

“No really, even though he’s not used to it, even when we have two shows on one day, he’ll always be very kind to the people in the audience.”

“Well, someone has to,” Tsuyoshi told him. “With you keeping insulting people.”

“They’re asking for it, when they say that I’m bald,” Koichi pouted.

The interviewer chuckled. “This is a very interesting interview, really.”

“Your next question?” Koichi asked.

“Is there gonna be an album this year?”

Both men grinned broadly.

“No comment,” Koichi chirped. “Johnny would take off our heads.”

“Okay,” the woman sighed. “Then, tell us something about your dogs.”

“Ah,” Koichi said merrily, “Pan’s doing great. She’s grown so much, it totally astounded me. Well, she keeps eating a lot. She’s quite different from me there. But she likes F1,” he laughed.

The interviewer blinked. “She does?”

Koichi nodded. “Yes, every time I watch she’ll lie down on my lap and every time a car takes a turn her ears will flap wildly. It’s so cute.”

The woman laughed at that. “Okay, and Tsuyoshi-kun?”

“Well, Ken-chan has grown into a mature man, I think,” Tsuyoshi stated. “He really wants to be a good senpai for Pan-kun. They’ve become quite good friends, actually.”

“Oh, your dogs know each other?”

“Of course,” Koichi stated happily. “We spend a lot of time together, after all. Naturally our dogs would meet. They really like each other too. Kenshiro is very protective of Pan.”

“That is really cute,” the woman said smiling. “So, next: Any plans of getting married soon?”

Both of them laughed at that.

“I don’t have anyone I could marry right now,” Tsuyoshi said casually. “No woman has been able to capture my heart like that.”

“Do you want to get married?”

“I’d love to get married,” Tsuyoshi answered. “But I don’t feel any need to rush. For now I’m really happy with my life.”

“I see. Koichi-kun?”

“Nobody to get married to in sight,” Koichi stated simply. “I’ve said this before, I rarely ever meet new people and as things are now, I’m afraid I won’t get married to anyone any time soon. Even though I keep saying that I want to get married. And it would be nice. But maybe I’m thinking that I should get married once our activities aren’t as prominent anymore. I barely eat and sleep as it is, how should I fit a marriage into that?”

“So, you won’t rush it.”

“Right,” Koichi nodded. “Not any time soon.”

“Okay. Final question. Or rather, a request.”

“A request?” Koichi asked. “This is really an interesting interview. What is it?”

“I thought I’d give you a question that you usually ask a lot on your show.”

“Oh?”

“Tell me a secret that concerns the two of you that nobody is supposed to know.”

Koichi laughed at that. “Ah, that’s a good one. Well, if you like. But I wonder whether you can print that.”

“Give it a shot,” the interviewer urged.

“Okay, then. The thing is, you know… about Tsuyoshi and me,” he said suggestively, gripping Tsuyoshi’s hand, who was a bit startled but trusted his partner to lead them out of that situation safely.

“Yes?” the woman obediently asked into the dramatic pause.

Koichi saw her eyes gleaming and a smirk came to his face.

“We really actually do have each other’s phone numbers.”

The woman merely blinked. Koichi couldn’t help laughing as he released Tsuyoshi’s hand.

“Believe me,” he stated, “that’ll be huge news – if you’ll be allowed to print it. The fandom is gonna freak.”

Tsuyoshi chuckled a bit and nodded.

With that the interview was ended and the two of them retreated into their dressing room. Koichi sighed as he flopped down on the couch.

“Wah, what an interview.”

“You did good, though,” Tsuyoshi assured him.

“She was really annoying,” Koichi complained.

“She was,” the other agreed. “I just wonder if we’ll get in trouble for revealing this.”

“Nah,” Koichi waved him off. “If Johnny should come to scold us for that, I’ll simply set Pan on him and he’ll melt into goo and forget all about it.”

“You sure know how to handle him,” Tsuyoshi laughed.

“Plus, if he doesn’t want it printed, he’ll just have it scratched,” Koichi shrugged.

“True,” Tsuyoshi agreed. “Let’s just hope he doesn’t take this as a good promotion opportunity.”

“So what if,” Koichi shrugged.

“Rumours will well up again,” Tsuyoshi told him.

“And there I thought you didn’t care?” the older man sneered.

“As little as I can,” Tsuyoshi told him, throwing a towel at him. “Well, it doesn’t really matter.”

“No, it doesn’t. And rumours are good for selling.”

I know,” Tsuyoshi sighed.

“Hey,” Koichi called out, sitting up. “Want to do something for our sellings?”

Tsuyoshi blinked at his grinning partner.

“Tsuyoshi, stop that,” Koichi suddenly burst out, in a hushed-loud voice. “Not here.”

Tsuyoshi merely kept blinking.

The older man lay slightly back, smoothing his hand over his cloth-covered chest.

“Tsuyoshi, we can’t… ah… what are you doing there…”

The other shook his head. “What are you doing there?”

Koichi merely grinned. “Ah… Tsuyoshi,” he sighed suggestively.

“You’re an idiot,” Tsuyoshi told him.

Koichi looked at him expectantly and with a sigh he sat down on a chair, grabbing a journal.

“Let me touch you,” he said, making sure that if people passed they could hear him.

Koichi chuckled in delight. “Mh, that feels good.”

“Yeah,” Tsuyoshi sighed out, cursing himself for getting turned on by looking at the other.

“Oh yeah… ah… have you locked the door?”

“So what if people see us?”

“Oh, such a dare-devil. I love that…”

That was when the door flew open and a very confused staff member stared at them as Koichi was resting on the couch casually, Tsuyoshi all wrapped up in his journal.

“Yes?” the younger man asked, blinking.

“Ano… sorry,” the boy stuttered apologetically. “I thought… I’d heard something and I just… sorry.”

With that he pulled the door closed again. As soon as he was out both men started laughing quite hard, if silently.

“Ah, that was fun,” Koichi said in delight.

“Agreed,” Tsuyoshi mused. “But now I’m really horny. Wanna get home?”

“Sounds like a plan,” Koichi grinned.
