Intro: A collection of scenes in Pan's life. What little I know about her and what I thought might fit. This chapter shows various scenes at various points of time. You'll get the idea. It starts out with Koichi bringing Pan home and then the story moves on through several episodes.


Note: Finally I got around meeting my first request. This one was requested by ayuku and nisanoaozora and inspired by the wonderful vivi000 . I also want to apologise to i_ate_a_panadol , because her request is taking forever. I'm working on it and I'll post as soon as it's done. For now, please enjoy what I've managed so far. ^^





“Pan.”




Eh? What do you mean, Pan? You hungry, or what?




“Yup, that’s the name for you. Do you like it, Pan?”




What would you say if someone named you after some kind of dull food?




“You know, I don’t care a lot about food. But I always thought that bread is something quite special. I really like eating it and that’s a rare thing. So, you’ll be my precious Pan.”




Well, I guess I’ll need some getting used to that, but with the story and all… it’s acceptable. What was your name again?




“Koichi, what is this?”




Ah, Koichi, right.




“Ah, Tsuyoshi. This is Pan. My new dog. Isn’t she precious?”
“Since when do you have a dog?”
“Since about half an hour ago. I saw her in a pet shop and she was so adorable and she kind of called out to me.”




You were about to get hit by the pizza delivery boy.




“So, I decided to take her home. It’s a girl, you know. Isn’t she the cutest little bundle of fur you’ve ever seen?”
“Well, I guess she’s cute, yeah. So, why did you have me come over?”
“I thought I’d stay here a few days. You know, so she can get accustomed to me. What do you think?”
“Well, if you really want to keep her.”
“Of course!”
“Very well. Hey, there. What’s her name again?”
“Pan.”
“Hey, Pan-kun.”
“Pan-kun?”
“Anything wrong with that?”
“No, no. Sorry.”




Who is this guy? But well, since he might hang around here, let’s be friends, okay?




“Oh, she’s a cuddly girl. Perfect for you.”
“Shut it. I cuddle you too, don’t I?”
“Mh. Well, sometimes. If you cuddle her more, I’ll get jealous.”




It’s a challenge.




“Mah, I’ll always love you the same.”
“Very good to hear that.”

“Oh, whose dog is this?”




Eh? Wah! Koichi, there’s a weird old man staring at me.




“Ah, Johnny-san. It’s my dog. I only just got her.”




Why are you even talking to that guy?




“Her? Oh, she’s cute. What’s her name?”
“Pan.”
“Ah, Pan?”




And now?




“Come here, Pan. Come on, come on.”




In your dreams.




“Oi, Pan. Pan, Pan.”
“Ano… Johnny-san…”
“Pan. Hey, bread! Bread!”
“I don’t think that’ll help.”




Definitely not. He’s creepy. Dame!




“Ano… Sorry, I have to go. I’m sure she’ll be less wary next time you see her.”




I wouldn’t bet on it, if I were you.




“Oi, Pan. Come on.”

He’s really cute. And such a pretty guy. Especially when he’s asleep. But now I’m hungry. Hey, wake up! Wake up, I want breakfast!




“Uhn, Pan, not just yet.”

“Wah, stop licking my nose. Go, play with your ball.”




I don’t want any ball, I want food. Really, he’s such a horrible morning person. If his fans saw him like this and how he talks now they’d be shocked. Why do they never show footage of that? But it’s oh so cute when the little dog jumps in surprise – because that stupid back dancer almost gave me a heart attack when he all but stepped on my tail.




“Okay, okay, I’m getting up.”




About time too. And what’s with that tone? You’re supposed to love me, remember? Hm, I wonder if I can make him flail again if I roll over and rub against his arm.




“Awwwwwww, kawaii~!”




Works every time. And now I want food. Come on.




“Oi, Pan, don’t run on the tiles, you’re gonna slip again. There’s no food without me anyway, there’s no point.”




Only you would try to argue logically with a dog. Get going already.




“Mou, sunlight.”




Complaining again? Really, you should be happy it’s bright outside.




“Aw, you still tired too?”




Not tired, just waking up properly. Really, just because I yawned. You of all people should know it’s for oxygen supply. But then, you’re just an ignorant human. You would never guess I can appreciate such knowledge, ne? Oh, whatever. Smells good, get on with it.




“Oi, Pan, don’t rub so urgently. I won’t be any faster if you keep distracting me.”




What are you still doing there anyway? You put it on a plate and then you give me the plate. Simple.




“Just a second. O~kay. There you go.”




Yay, FOOD!!!! Mh, this is good.




“So cute.”




Does that mean I’ll get seconds?




“Well, maybe this is a good time. Pan, there’s something I’ve wanted to tell you.”




Getting food and petted? I wonder whether I’ll like this. Hold on, I’m not going to the vet again. He’s horrible!




“My, you’re a clever girl, ne? Or do I look so guilty even you can tell? Come on, go on eating.”




Anyone can read you without a lot of effort.




“Ne, Pan…”




No way I’m going to the vet.




“I’ve told you that there’s someone else in my life as well. You’ve met him too. I wonder whether you understand what he is to me. And whether you care that we’re two guys. Do you notice that kind of thing? I wonder what you think of it.”




What’s to think of it? Tsuyoshi’s cool. He loves you. Hopeless as you are you’d be lost without him, so it’s a good thing he’s here. Plus, he always pets my stomach, so I really like him.




“Tomo would so laugh at me about this.”




Whatever. It’s not like I’ve seen that guy before. But I can’t say I’m not curious. You keep talking about him a lot.




“Well, Pan… the thing is… I think it’s about time we move into the apartment I share with Tsuyoshi.”




Eh? We’re moving?




“You’ll like it. It’s bigger than this place. Brighter too. Or maybe that’s just because of Tsuyoshi.”




Well, it sounds pretty nice. I don’t really mind, so long as you’re there.




“I really hope you’ll like it. You know, there’s also… you’ll get a playmate. Isn’t that nice, huh?”




What – a playmate? What do you mean?




“Tsuyoshi’s dog is a bit older than you, but he’s really full of love. I bet he’ll love you too. Everybody just has to love you.”




Okay, now wait a minute. There’s ANOTHER DOG?!?!?!??!?!?! Hold on there, you never said anything about that.




“Please get along with Ken-chan, okay? We’ll go and visit them today. Ken-chan is sweet, you’ll like him.”




Visiting is an okay thing. But living together? With another dog? I don’t think I want that.




“And please remember, no matter what happens, I’ll always love you the most, ne?”




Well, that should be expected.




“Please try to get along with Ken-chan, ne?”




Okay, okay. I’ll have a look at this guy. But he’d better be nice.

“Tadaima. Ah, it’s good to be back. The apartment felt kind of empty.”
“But I agree that it was a good idea to let Pan-kun get used to you first and then bring her into the whole family. But now I’m glad you’re back.”

Really, guys. Get a room, or something. Or, well, I guess you have a room somewhere here? Anyway, where’s that Ken-chan guy?




“Hey, hey, hey. You’ll ruin your cage if you keep scratching like that. She’s nervous.”
“Well, I can see how. So many new impressions. And the biggest one yet to come.”
“I’m sure they’ll love each other.”
“Well, time to find out. Ken-chan!”
“Come on, Pan. Time to meet your new friend.”




Ah, finally. I really don’t like that cage. Wah. Okay, so… this is Ken-chan?




“Aw, how cute. She said hi.”
“You really think they talk to each other, right?”
“Well, why not? And they seem to get along alright.”
“Maybe they’re gossiping about us.”
“Now who’s ridiculous?”




Totally ridiculous. I mean, what’s to gossip about you two? You’re two quite plain guys. Ne, Ken-chan?




“Seems like we’re gonna be one big happy family.”
“I have to admit, I thought it might be a bit more problematic.”




So long as I get petted and loved, we’re gonna get along alright. So, do I get some love now?




“Aw, Tsuyoshi, look at that. She wants you to pet her.”
“Does it not bother you that she comes running to me first opportunity she gets?”
“Nah, that’s totally normal. I’m always around and shower her with love. It’s much more interesting to entice someone who’s more reserved and not available so much.”
“If you say so. Come here, then, Pan-kun.”




Happily. Stomach too, please.




“The cutest picture ever.”
“Ken-chan doesn’t seem too happy, though.”
“He’ll get used to it., Ne, Ken-chan. You don’t mind sharing with this cute little girl just a bit, right?”
“You’re unbelievable.”
“Who knows, maybe they’ll fall in love.”
“Somehow I doubt that.”

“Can you get Pan, please? I’ll cover by dragging out Matsuaki. Come on.”




Now just a second. I’m not going out there. It’s scary. Wah, what do you want, you stupid woman?! Leave me alone! No, no, no, no!!!!!

“Ah, thank you. Ne, Pan, please support me, only for a little while, okay?”




Mou, I don’t wanna. Let me down. Now!




“Oh, she’s so nervous.”




Wouldn’t you be nervous in a situation like this? I totally don’t get how you can do this kind of work. Totally scary. Wah! No, no, don’t put me down. Woah, this is huge. Take me back up.




“This is quite scary right? You must be shocked.”




Exactly. So pick me up and take me backstage again. Oi, where are you going now? Stay here! Oh, you…




“Come on, Pan.”




Oh, just you wait. I’ll catch you, and then…




“Okay, come here.”




Okay, I’ll bite you later. Just hold me okay? This really is a rather scary place. Mh, but cuddling is nice. Still, don’t you have work to do?




“Arigatou na, Pan.”




It’s not like I had much of a choice. But at least I made you happy. Can I now please go backstage again?




“Time to rest, ne?”




Rest is something I definitely need now, yes. I just hope you’ll never do that again. At least not any time soon.

“Ken-chan never had any trouble.”
“Ah, yes, Kenshiro is a dare devil. Give her a few minutes. She’ll come and check you out.”

“Do you think it’s okay if I pet her?”
“If she doesn’t want it, she’ll let you know.”

“Same as Tsuyoshi. You can just skip the suffix altogether.”
“No, Pan-kun seems just about right. Ne?”




Mh, you must have practiced a lot with Kenshiro. Soooooooo nice.




“Aw, she likes it. Here, give her a treat.”
“Okay, thank you. There you go, dear.”




I still don’t see the point of those treats, but hey, I’m not complaining. Maybe I can like you, after all. You look kinda cute with those big round eyes.




“Hah, she’s totally checking you out. You like Tomo-chan now, don’t you?”




Yup, like him.




“What do you mean, checking me out?”
“She’s trying to find your week spot. I told you, she wants a lot of attention and she always keeps checking on how to get it.”
“Smart girl.”




Woah, two people petting you is actually quite distressful. Sorry, guys, I need some air.




“Oh, what’s wrong now?”
“Maybe she ran into the kitchen to get some food. Or we were too much of a good thing, after all.”
“Really high standards.”
“She’ll let us know when she wants attention again.”
“Well, for now Ken-chan can have some more, ne?”




Yes, he absolutely can. Ah, afternoon sun is such a good thing.




“Omg, Koichi, look at that.”
“Aw. Yeah, she does that sometimes.”
“How cute is that?”
“She loves the late day’s sun for some reason. You should see her when she rolls over to get it onto her stomach.”

“Kawaii~!!!!!!”




You guys are really simple. Both of you. I like that.

Gosh, about an hour now. Do they never get tired? I wonder whether they realise I know exactly what they’re doing in there. It’s not like I’ve got a problem with it. But they could keep it all to that room, really.




“Yeah, that’s it… come on…”




You’ve got to be kidding me. Shut it, already. Well, at least they know how to share love. Better than to be stuck in a difficult family, or with a loner who won’t leave the house. Well, Koichi isn’t exactly someone who’s out a lot, but it’s okay and if he’s not up for it, there’s still Tsuyoshi. He’s very attentive. I wonder how they got to be – they seem so different. Well, not really my business. Oh, which reminds me… it’s gotten quiet. Finally.




“Wah, Pan. You surprised me.”




Omg, he looks like a little kid who got caught doing something naughty. He really can be very cute.




“I hope we didn’t wake you.”




Is that embarrassment in your voice? Really, if you two go at it like that you should consider the possibility that you’ll be heard. What do you think? Wake me up? You most probably woke the neighbours.

“Koichi, what are you doing out there? I want to use the bath too.”
“Sorry. I just… Pan…”
“Eh? Oh, Pan-kun.”
“I think… she heard.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Well, you know, I think she heard… us.”
“So?”
“What do you mean, so? She’s just a little girl. We probably scared her.”
“Oh, come on, Koichi. She’s not that little. Or do you mean to sex ed her? Then she’d have to watch too.”

“Don’t worry, she’ll manage. Ne, Pan-kun.”

I like walking to the agency. Takki is there a lot and he always gives me treats.

Yay, all done! I wonder whether the "only dialogue" style isn't too bothersome. But I thought it would show Pan's limited possibilities to interact with the people around her. It felt awkward to not really write expressions and direct feelings. Well, it was kind of an experiment. I hope you enjoyed anyway.
