Introduction: Shortly after the last episode. I might even have the time span in the fic, but I can't remember and am too tired to check. Both KinKi Kids try to deal with what has happened, but they're having a hard time trying. It seems, though, that fate means to keep bringing them together...

KOICHI:
Koichi slapped his composery book shut and sighed. He hadn’t created a single meaningful bar since he had come to sleep at Nagase’s. Not that he did much else that could be considered productive. He had called Okada to tell him to please take care of Tsuyoshi, only to learn that the V6-boy had already set up a futon in their apartment. The news were certainly relieving, but yet irritating at the same time. After that Koichi tried desperately but sadly in vain to focus on his work and distract himself. He absolutely couldn’t understand how Tsuyoshi could compose or write lyrics when being melancholy or otherwise bothered. Concerning that he mused that Tsuyoshi had most likely already finished five ballads of heart ache, betrayal and yarning.
He sighed again, shaking his head. Nagase had gone to drama shooting and wouldn’t be back before midnight. Being alone in the apartment was even more depressing, so he decided to go out. Some fresh air might be good for clearing his head. He grabbed thespare keys from the table and set out to Akai Hana Park. There was a small pond there, where he liked to feed and watch the local ducks. He bought some bread and two Onigiri as he passed a store and in the park sat down on one of the light green benches near the pond. He smiled affectionately as two ducks immediately advanced him.
“Hey, guys,” he said lightly. “You hungry?”
He ripped some of the bread into pieces and threw them in the ducks’ direction. Sure enough, the ducks came nearer to eat the treat hastily.
“Not so fast,” Koichi scoulded softly. “There’s plenty more here.”
The ducks came nearer still.
“You shouldn’t be so trusting, you know,” Koichi informed them. “You never know if the guy feeding you wants to take you home to be his dinner.”
The ducks just squeaked out for more treats.
Koichi smiled again, ripping more bread.
“I see. Well, there you go,” he told the ducks, feeding them ome more. “Just so you know,” Koichi addressed them again, “I might not look it, but I’m actually a vicious person.”
One of the ducks called out vehementally again.
“What do you know about it?” Koichi demanded, then realised that he was trying to argue with a duck. “To no avail, is it?” he sighed, shaking his head.
The duck called out again, reaching Koichi on the bench and nipping at his fingers.
“Hey!” Koichi yelled out in surprise. “What’s that?! You that hungry? You’re like one of my Juniors: Masuda-kun.”
The other duck had already neatly settled down on the floor and kept inspecting its companion as though frowning upon indecent behaviour. Koichi laughed.
“And you’re just like Taichi-kun,” he said happily. Then he sighed again. “You wouldn’t happen to know a Tsuyoshi duck, would you? Maybe he would come home with me.” He kept feeding Masu-duck as he continued. “You know, Tsuyoshi is...” he broke off there, hesitating, then decided to start over. “Well, we’ve been lovers for quite some time. Nine years. And last week I fucked it all up because I had a drunk fuck. I don’t even really remember it. I just woke up in a rotten room next to the new guitar guy.”
He buried his face in his hands, then pulled back his hair, looking up again.
“Can you believe how stupid I am?! Nine years! And I love Tsuyoshi. He is the only person I ever have loved and ever will love like this. I might not have a right to claim it anymore, but I know that I love him. But after what I’ve done... I’d understand if he never talked to me again.”
He looked at Taichi-duck, while he kept feeding Masu-duck.
“You would never cheat on your partner, ne, Taichi-kun?” Koichi analysed.
Taichi-duck just started to pitch his feathers.
“Of course not,” Koichi continued. “You’re better than that. You’re lucky, Masu-duck,” he informed the animal in question. “Make sure you appreciate it.”
There was a loud rustling sound behind him and Koichi turned around, startled. At first he didn’t see anything. Then a huge dog jumped out of a near bush, followed by a young girl with a very aggravated look on her face.
“Sorry, sorry,” she blurted out. “Are you okay?”
She was so embarrassed, she didn’t even look at Koichi as she caught her dog and put a restraint on. The KinKi Kid smiled helplessly.
“It’s okay,” he told her. “I just started a bit.”
She kept bowing and repeated, “I’m really sorry.”
Then she abruptly turned around and fled, head still red.
Koichi smiled. Maybe apologising did too change some things. He turned back to the ducks only to find that they had both settled down on the ground, totally unaffected by the whole scene.
Koichi blinked. “Am I really that weak a person?”
The ducks just kept sitting. Koichi shrugged.
“Why not,” he mused, lying down on his back onto the bench, looking up into the sky, wondering what Tsuyoshi might be doing.
Tsuyoshi.....

TSUYOSHI:
Tsuyoshi sighed as he passed by the pond. How on earth had he ended up walking Koichi’s puppet dog?! The younger KinKi Kid had fled the apartment so hastily he hadn’t even taken his dog. While Pan wasn’t really demanding in general, when she decided that she wanted something, she was very persistant. Just like her keeper, really....
A sting shot through Tsuyoshi’s heart at the thought of Koichi. He felt disturbingly torn. He missed his lover severely already, but then he was still confused and upset by what had happened. A surprised yell ripped him from his train of thoughts. He turned his head, looking for the source of the noise. His gaze fell upon a young guy sitting on a bench, feeding ducks. Tsuyoshi blinked. No way....
“You’re just like one of my Juniors,” the guy said. “Masuda-kun.”
Tsuyoshi shook his head in disbelief. He looked about the area. They were quite alone, so Tsuyoshi crouched down behind a bush, watching the scene.
“And you’re just like Taichi-kun,” he heard Koichi say. “You wouldn’t happen to
know a Tsuyoshi-duck, would you?”
Tsuyoshi snorted at that.
Tsuyoshi-duck. If one of us is a duck, that’s most certainly you. – Why is he discussing this with park ducks anyway? And naming them too. Idiot...
“...because I had a drunk fuck,” he heard Koichi explain.
Tsuyoshi made a face.
Do you have to put it like that? You’re not that kind of a bad person.
He continued to listen to Koichi’s explanations.
You really are an idiot. Getting pissed to the point where you completely lose control over what you do. That guy could have raped you too.... *sigh* I know that you love me. Of course I know. And there is no “right” to it. Just...
“You would never cheat on your partner, ne, Taichi-kun?”
Tsuyohsi shook his head, smiling.
Right, that’s how you always get me. You’re an overly cute idiot.
Next moment Tsuyoshi felt something run him over, knocking him completely into the bush. He grabbed Pan, shielding her effectively, but crushing to the ground harshly. As he looked up he saw a young girl running up.
Shit.
“Sorry, sorry,” she directed at Tsuyoshi. “Are you okay?”
Tsuyoshi bit his lip in desperation. He could hear Koichi mutter something in their direction. If Koichi found him there...
He quickly nodded his head, gesturing for the girl to move on. Luckily she did retreat as soon as she had captured her dog, but kept bowing as she went. After she had finally left, Tsuyoshi turned his attention back to Koichi and, as soon as the boy turned back to his ducks, fled the scene.

I like this scene, even though it's still sad. But I think Koichi's conversation with the ducks is just too hilarious. ^_^ Even Tsuyoshi finds it cute. Will that win his heart back? *gg* Hope you liked. Comments, please! ^_^
