Intro: Scene starts at the set of Ningen Shikkaku...

“Koichi!” Tsuyoshi’s voice rang through the hall.
He was running around agitatedly, waving with his script of the day.
“Hai!” Koichi called back, waving so that the other could locate him.
Tsuyoshi came to a halt, panting. “Did you…” he heaved out, “did you read the script?”
Koichi nodded warily, stiffening slightly as he had a vague idea what the issue was.
“Did you see…” Tsuyoshi probed carefully, “what we’re supposed to do?”
“The kiss,” the older boy suggested.
Tsuyoshi nodded madly. “Exactly. How did it…?! When did they…?!”

Koichi just shrugged. “Don’t know.”
“What?!” Tsuyoshi blinked. “You’re not the least bit worked up about it?”
“It’s the script,” stated, trying to sound casual. “You should consider yourself lucky. Some of us don’t get drama kisses at all, let alone when they’re 15.”
“Yeah, well, but I’ve got to kiss a guy. That’s different,” Tsuyoshi explained.
Koichi flinched a little, but tried to keep his voice from sounding hurt as he continued, “So, it’s fanservice. You should be used to that. We grope and touch and tease all the time.”
Tsuyoshi scoffed. “That’s all very well. But we don’t usually kiss.”

“It’s just another thing on the list,” Koichi pressed out evenly.
“Fantastic,” Tsuyoshi sighed. “Meaning that the fans will be expecting us to do that in the future too.”
“That’s what comes with being an idol,” Koichi stated shortly, getting up to leave as he could no longer stand the situation. “Go, do your exercises. We’ll be starting soon. I’ll just check my mails.”

With that he was out the door. As soon as he could be sure that nobody would see him, he made a run for the back door, flung it open and then crashed it shut behind him again. He breathed heavily as tears welled up in his eyes.
“Fuck,” he cursed as he sank to the floor, his back against the door to make sure that he wouldn’t be surprised by anyone.
He kept crouching there for a while, sobbing silently. Then he sniffed once and picked up his phone.
“Hi, this is Domoto Koichi. I’m very sorry to disturb you, but... Leader-san, please help me.”

“You’re late,” Tsuyoshi complained as Koichi finally showed up on set.“Sorry,” Koichi mumbled, averting his gaze. “They had to refresh some of the make-up.”
Tsuyoshi blinked in surprise at the reaction. However, he had no time to dwell on the awkward situation as the director came to meet them.
“Okay,” he announced. “Tsuyoshi-kun will be lying there by the pool. Remember, you’re unconscious because you were abused.”
“Hai,” Tsuyoshi nodded, getting in position.

“Right,” the director continued turning to Koichi. “You come from over here. First you see him lying there and move around here. You are in no hurry, so make it look even-paced. Okay?”
“I don’t get it,” Koichi complained. “If I like him, why don’t I rush over when I see he’s hurt?”

“You know,” the director explained, “the point is, you aren’t aware of your feelings at this point. As you see him there, it’s like you’re looking at him for the first time because your view is changing. So you inspect him in wonder. The world fades out as your focus is totally on him.”
“But he needs help,” Koichi opposed.
“Love doesn’t know reason,” the man explained. “You’re very young and might not understand that.”
“I do too,” the boy informed him, blushing a bit.

“Well, maybe you haven’t felt like this,” the director suggested. “But here you look at this boy and you find him beautiful and it is obvious that he is in no critical condition. No harm can be dealt to him and nobody is there to witness. So you take your time looking at him and you’re drawn to him by something that you cannot fathom but that you follow all and the same. You kneel by his side, still inspecting him closely. You touch his face carefully. And then you bend down to kiss him.”

Koichi closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
“Can you do it?” the director asked.
“Of course,” Koichi nodded.
“I realize that it’s awkward for the first time,” the man told him. “Just remember, you’re not really actually kissing. This is as much acting as it would be to fight, or to play cards.”
“Right,” Koichi stated flatly.
“Just do take your time. And pause at the stairs for a moment, I want to change angles there.”
“Got it.”

“Alright,” the director said, clapping his hands. “Let’s do this. Oh, just one more thing.”
“Hai?” Koichi asked, blinking.
“Make sure your lips aren’t pressed together as you kiss him,” the director told him.
“Eh?”

“You know, just open your lips very slightly. It will look more realistic,” the man explained.
“That’s gonna make it realistic,” Koichi gasped out.
“Nah, it’s still acting,” the man assured him. “Give it a try.”
With a pat on the back the director turned around to look at the screens. “Okay, we go.”
Koichi took one more deep breath, then started to walk the swimming hall just as he’d been instructed. He didn’t rush. He paused at the stairs. He moved to Tsuyoshi’s side and knelt down carefully.

…you look at this boy and you find him beautiful….

Koichi shook his head to clear it.
“What is it?” the director asked.
“Sorry,” Koichi called back. “Chemicals sting my eyes. I’m fine.”
“Okay, continue.”
Koichi bent over Tsuyoshi’s unmoving form. With deft fingers he touches the other boy’s face. His heart is racing.

…it’s like you’re looking at him for the first time…

Oh my god…

Lowering himself down he keeps his gaze glued to Tsuyoshi who does not move or react in any way. Just as he was about to close the distance a voice called out.
“Cut!”
“What is it?” Koichi asked, turning his head.
“You must close your eyes,” the director told him. “So, sit up and try again.”
The boy nodded and went back to his task. Once more he inched down and closer to the other boy’s face. He made sure to close his eyes in time and remembered the instruction about the open lips just in time. However, his mouth was all slippery, so saliva showed as he opened it.
“Cut!” was shouted again.
“Sorry,” Koichi offered. “I’ll try again.”
“Please do,” the director told him.

So he went for his third try, which, however, ended much like the last one.
“Cut!”
Koichi sighed.
“Really, what are you doing?” Tsuyoshi complained, sitting up.
“I’m sorry. I’m really trying,” he murmured.
“Get on with it,” Tsuyoshi told him. “I want to be done with this already.”
“Sorry,” Koichi breathed out once more.
“Ah, Tsuyoshi-kun,” the director cut in. “What are you doing?”

The boys blinked at him.
“Now we have to do the scene from scratch. We can’t cut, when you don’t lie there exactly as you did before,” he told them.
“Shit,” the younger boy cursed. “Sorry,” he mumbled out.
“It’s okay. Just stay still this time, no matter what,” the director said firmly.
“Right,” Tsuyoshi returned, lying back down.
Koichi got back up, sighing. “Alright, once again.”
The walking scene wasn’t too difficult. They could cut those together as well if necessary. The tricky thing was the kiss.

He knelt down next to Tsuyoshi again, this time a bit closer to his face. He braced himself with his free hand to support himself as his other hand softly stroked Tsuyoshi’s face. In an almost desperate act, he bent down, then stopped abruptly, fearing he might have gone too quickly, but as he heard no opposing he slowly continued. Adjusting his face just right, he hesitantly brought his lips down to meet the other’s. The moment he felt the contact he remembered to slightly spread the lips, rubbing them softly over Tsuyoshi’s. The feeling was warm and soft and his eyes fell shut as he re-adjusted his hand to keep himself up. He didn’t know how long their kiss lasted, but he dared not move away until told to.

“Okay, cut!” the director finally called. “Thank you, that was a really good shot.”
Koichi moved back carefully, sitting on his heels. Tsuyoshi moved into a sitting position again and sighed.
“Thank goodness,” he declared. “This took forever, really.”
As he looked over at Koichi he found the other boy trembling slightly, hands cramped into fists on his knees.
“Good job,” the younger boy offered warily.
With a curt nod Koichi got up and fled the scene as quickly as possible without running. Tsuyoshi blinked after him, scratching the back of his head.

“Next will be you falling off the roof,” the director told Tsuyoshi. “But take a few minutes break.”
The boy just nodded vaguely, not even registering what the man had said as he set off after his band mate. He found him in their shared dressing room, cowering on a bench. He bit his lip as he moved forward.
“Hey,” he said simply.
Koichi looked up at him, but averted his gaze again immediately. “Hey,” he pressed out.
“Na, Koichi,” Tsuyoshi said, approaching the other, “what’s wrong?”
“Don’t come closer,” Koichi shot out.

Tsuyoshi flinched at the harsh voice. “What?” he asked warily.
“Just stay there,” the older boy insisted. “You don’t want to be close to me anyway.”
“Sorry, what’s that?” Tsuyoshi inquired, scratching his head again.
“You made it very clear that you don’t want to be close to me,” Koichi informed him.
“What,” Tsuyoshi blinked, “the kiss?”
Koichi just kept his gaze directed out of the window.

“Oi,” the younger boy sighed. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to be with you. It’s just off kissing a guy, that’s all.”
“I know,” Koichi whispered, closing his eyes.
“Sorry?” Tsuyoshi said, moving a tad closer.
“I said stay there!” Koichi shouted.
“Goodness, why are you so worked up?!” Tsuyoshi demanded.
“Because…. Because…. I just got my first kiss and all that I hear about it is how the person I kissed was happy when it was all done with.” Koichi panted slightly.
Tsuyoshi blinked at him. “What- I….” He paused for a moment. “It’s okay. I’m sorry, I… I understand. It was my first kiss too and well…”
“You don’t understand a thing,” Koichi demanded.
“No, really,” the younger boy tried again, “I’m sorry for being harsh. This is just not what I expected my first kiss to be like, so….”

“No, you will never understand,” Koichi insisted, shaking his head as fresh tears came to his eyes.
“Why ever not?” Tsuyoshi wanted to know.
With a slight whining sound Koichi grabbed Tsuyoshi’s collar and pulled him in. Without a second’s hesitation he brought their lips together again, warmth spreading through him at the contact. He found himself sighing happily as his hand moved to stroke Tsuyoshi’s neck. That brought the other boy back to reality and he quickly jumped back and stared at Koichi.

“This is what you don’t understand,” Koichi said sadly. “I…. really like you,” he sobbed out.
The younger boy just kept looking at him for a while. Then he firmly shook his head.
“No,” he stated. “No way. You don’t – you can’t!” he insisted.
“But I do,” Koichi croaked out.
“NO!” Tsuyoshi shouted, making the older boy cringe. “That’s impossible! Do you hear me? Impossible!”
“I know,” Koichi said silently.
“Stop it,” Tsuyoshi demanded harshly. “Do you hear me? Stop it! Now!”
Koichi stared at the other in utter shock, then turned on his heel and ran as fast as he could. Tsuyoshi kept standing there, panting as he watched after the other. His hands fisted in his hair as he slowly sunk to the floor.

________________________________________________________________________________

“Koichi, please open that door,” Tsuyoshi pleaded, knocking yet again.
“Maybe you should go, Tsuyoshi-kun,” Koichi’s mother Shizuki suggested.
Tsuyoshi shook his head. “Please, just a few more minutes. Let me try.”
“As you wish,” Shizuki answered. “But, you know, you cannot force him.” With that she left.
Tsuyoshi sighed. “Koichi listen. I am… really sorry. But I don’t want to tell you that through this door, so…. Won’t you please let me in?”
“Why do you even care?” Koichi’s voice sounded from within. “Just leave me already.”
“No,” Tsuyoshi said stubbornly.
“You don’t have to worry about work,” the older boy informed him. “I’ll be fit in a little while. So, just go.”
“It’s not about work,” Tsuyoshi demanded. “What are you thinking?! I wronged you. And I want to apologize properly.”

“There is nothing you can say,” Koichi told him.
Tsuyoshi sighed. “Well, maybe there isn’t.” He bit his lip. “But maybe there’s…. something else….” He drifted off, eyes widening in shock of his own words.
There was no response from within. Tsuyoshi licked his lips, wondering whether he should say something else. Then suddenly the lock of the door clicked and the door flew open to reveal Koichi’s tear-stricken face.
“What did you just say?” he asked in wonder.

“N-nothing,” Tsuyoshi stuttered nervously. “I….”
He panicked at how strong he felt about seeing Koichi like that and made to run for it. However, Koichi captured his sleeve and pulled him back firmly.
“Tsuyoshi,” he said in a pleading voice that ran through Tsuyoshi’s entire body.
The younger boy closed his eyes as Koichi pulled to turn him around to face him. He felt a hand on his face, tracing slowly.

Just like on set…

He trembled. “Koichi….”
He shook his head.
Koichi moved his hand to keep him still.
“Tsuyoshi,” he whispered. “Please, if you like me….”
Tsuyoshi felt slight pressure against his lips and his stomach fluttered at the feel.
“Kiss me.”
Breath against his lips. And Tsuyoshi carefully nipped the lips lying on his.
As he felt an answering nip, he leaned in a bit more and brought his hands up to wrap around Koichi’s waist. Feeling the other snake his arms around his neck, he pecked the lips repeatedly in soft strokes.
“Tsuyoshi,” Koichi whispered happily, pressing against him and flicking his tongue out to touch the other’s lips carefully.

The younger boy at that point answered immediately, opening his mouth slightly to deepen their kiss. He sighed pleasurably as he moved his tongue against the other’s as they stumbled back into Koichi’s room, Tsuyoshi’s back hitting against the door as it fell shut behind them. All of that went unnoticed, however, as they were entangled in their kiss as it grew more passionate.
“Oh god, Koichi….”
Tsuyoshi started up with his eyes wide. After a few seconds of registering that he was actually lying alone in his own bed, he closed his eyes in despair.

Omgomgomgomgomgomgomg!!! This did not just happen. I… What am I thinking? It’s a dream. What else would I dream about in a night like this? I did kiss Koichi after all. And then he confessed to me. Of course that has me worked up. But why did I enjoy…? No, but I didn’t. I didn’t enjoy it. And this is just a dream, so naturally it has nothing to do with reality.

Tsuyoshi sighed as he sunk back into his sheets.

This is gonna be one long week.

_________________________________________________________________________________

After a whole week of taking a break Koichi still felt wary as he arrived on set. He had called in sick with a fake flu, which was easy for him, for it was common knowledge that Koichi easily caught such things and suffered at them severely. However, he felt more sick than when having the flu as he moved around the set, looking for his filming partner. He found him sure enough and stiffened slightly.

“Ohayo,” Koichi offered evenly, not really looking at the other.
Tsuyoshi nodded back at him. “Anything new?” he asked flatly.
“Not really,” Koichi informed him.
Tsuyoshi nodded back again and that was mainly their conversation of that day. They were shooting the school roof scene, though, so it didn’t really show too much. Nonetheless they both felt equally relieved when the shooting was over. Koichi changed quickly in order to leave as early as possible.
“You in a particular hurry?” Tsuyoshi asked.
“Ano…” Koichi muttered, “I’m meeting Tomo-chan, so I want to be off.”

“Hn,” Tsuyoshi nodded.
“Otsukare-sama deshita,” Koichi said, bowing slightly.
Just as he was about to fly out the door, it opened almost into his face.
“Oi, sorry,” a voice called out.
Koichi saw a shadow pass him by and smelled a scent of vanilla. He blinked.
“Ah, there you are, Tsuyoshi-kun,” the voice sounded again.
“Oi, Rika-chan,” Tsuyoshi called out, surprised.
Koichi blinked again as he saw a young girl flinging herself at Tsuyoshi, pecking him on the cheek.

“Hey, there,” Tsuyoshi demanded, chuckling. “If you’re not careful people will think you’re a crazed out fangirl.”
The girl giggled. The sound made Koichi cringe.
“Who is she then?” he asked, looking expectantly as Tsuyoshi.
He found it unnecessary to introduce himself as the girl had decided to ignore him as well.
The younger boy shrugged, then put an arm around the girl, who giggled again.
“This is my girlfriend,” Tsuyoshi announced. “Rika-chan.”

Koichi started at that. “W-what?!”
Tsuyoshi laughed nervously. “What – are you that surprised? It’s not like no girl would take me, you know.”
“Oh, absolutely not,” Rika teased, pecking Tsuyoshi’s cheek again. “I know a lot of girls who are totally crazy about you.”
“Oh, really,” Tsuyoshi pondered in mock-consideration.
“But you love only me, right?” Rika asked timidly.
“Of course,” Tsuyoshi smiled at her, kissing her lips softly.
The girl’s eyes were glazed with happiness.
“Ano, Rika-chan, this is Koichi, whom I work with,” Tsuyoshi introduced his band mate.
“Oh, of course,” Rika said excitedly. “KinKi Kids. Hajime mashite,” she said merrily.
“Yeah,” Koichi stuttered. “Ano… thank you for taking care of Tsuyoshi. Youroshiku onegaishimasu.” His gaze kept swaying the room.

“Right,” Rika answered. “I’m very sorry, but is it okay if we go? I want to see that movie and it starts at 8p.m.”
“Yes, it’s fine,” Tsuyoshi stated. “We’re finished. And Koichi is meeting with someone else, so he’ll be alright.”
“Oh, okay. Let’s go, then,” Rika said. “Bye, Koichi-kun,” she chirped, waving.
“See you tomorrow,” Tsuyoshi called out as he slipped his arm around Rika’s waist as they made their leave.
As soon as the door to their dressing room fell shut, Koichi sunk to the ground.

“Sorry to keep you guys so late,” Akiha said apologetically. “But it was particularly difficult tonight to find a patch of clear sky.”
“Nah, not to worry,” Tsuyoshi waved him off. “We’re used to working late. Ne, Koichi?”
“Mh,” Koichi nodded.
“Well, that’s alright. Still, it took very long. My apologies,” Akiha insisted.
“No, really,” Koichi told him. “We’re fine.”
“I’m glad to hear that. Okay, now we’re done. Otsukare-sama desu. I’ll be seeing you guys.”
With that the photographer made to leave.

“Otsukare-sama desu,” Tsuyoshi called after him. Then he sighed. “Quite a shooting day, huh?”
“Mh, you can say that again,” Koichi nodded his agreement. “I’m spent.”
“Same here,” Tsuyoshi told him.
“Care for some Ramen?” Koichi smiled at him.
The younger boy shook his head. “Can’t tonight.”
“What – you out with Okada, or what?” Koichi teased.
“No, I…” he paused, casting his look around. “It’s gotten really cold. Where’s my sweater?”
Koichi smirked. “Really, you never remember where you put your stuff,” he teased, grabbing the item from behind the bench.
As he picked it up a waft of vanilla tickled his nose. He blinked.
“Thanks,” Tsuyoshi smiled at him, taking the sweater. “I’m meeting Rika tonight.”
Koichi’s eyes went wide. “But how…?” He looked at the other. “She’s in Tokyo?”

Tsuyoshi nodded. “Came all the way just to see me for our four months anniversary.”
“Wow,” Koichi breathed out. “That’s…. sweet,” he offered, still feeling disturbed.
“So, you go eat with some of your friends, ne?” Tsuyoshi asked.
“Oh, yeah, of course. Not to worry. You…. you go. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Koichi said hastily, taking his leave.
“Tomorrow, then,” Tsuyoshi mumbled out, looking after the other and biting his lip at the sight. Then, however, he turned around to leave the scene as well.

______________________________________________________________________________

“What are you doing?!” Tsuyoshi asked, eyes growing wide.
“Well,” Rika said suggestively as she opened her blouse. “I was thinking maybe we can move past the kissing and just roaming. I’m quite in the mood,” she told him.
“B-but….” Tsuyoshi stuttered.
“Oh, don’t worry,” Rika giggled. “I know you’re a bit younger. But that’s okay. I’ll show you what you need to know. And don’t you want to do it? You’ll be one of the first in your generation, I’m pretty sure.”

“Yes, absolutely,” Tsuyoshi nodded, gaze glued to the girl that was exposing herself to him.
“Well, come here, then,” Rika crooned. “Touch me.”
The boy shifted slowly, warily closer to the girl. They had kissed and fumbled a bit already. But that was different. There was heat, there was flesh, there was….
“I don’t know,” Tsuyoshi hesitated again. “This feels…. strange…..” He licked his lips.
“Of course,” Rika whispered in his ear. “It’s your first time. I understand that. But just let go and you will have fun, you will see.”

With that she started to pull up his shirt, urging him to raise his arms. Unable to do anything else Tsuyoshi complied and the item was swiftly pulled off his body. Then hands were on him, roaming slowly.
“Mh, you’ve got a nice chest,” Rika told him, leaning in to lick at one of his nipples.
Tsuyoshi squeezed his eyes shut. Trying to distract himself he moved his hands on Rika’s body as well. It felt smooth and warm. So warm. So… hot. Too hot. Too close. With a violent shake of his head, he got up from the sofa. Rika blinked up at him.
“Please,” Tsuyoshi panted out. “Don’t touch me.”

“What?” the girl asked, half in disbelief, half annoyed.
“You… I…” He shook his head again. “I can’t do this. I can’t. I’m sorry.”
Rika sighed. “No, it’s okay. If you don’t feel right about it, let’s wait.”
“No,” the boy said flatly.
“Eh?” Rika blinked.

Tsuyoshi looked firmly at her. “That’s not the problem.” Tears shone in his eyes as he picked up his shirt from the floor. “I’m sorry, I cannot see you again.”
“What?!” Rika demanded. “What is this? Tsuyoshi, what are you doing?!”
Tsuyoshi, however, did not turn back to her again. He simply picked up his stuff and moved to the door.
“I’m really sorry,” he said once more. “Please, don’t call. I…. Good bye.”
And with that he closed the door behind him.

_________________________________________________________________________________

“Okay,” Okada blinked at his friend who stood at his door in the middle of the night with no jacket or bag. “This had better be good.”
“Ano,” Tsuyoshi mumbled out. “Can I….”
“Come in?” Okada offered.
“Actually I wanted to say sleep here, but….”
“Do come in first,” the V6-boy sighed. “What ever happened to you?”
“Do you have….” Tsuyoshi broke off.
“Yes?” Okada asked.

The other laughed slightly. “I think I feel like a beer, actually. But seeing how that’s not an option – Ginger Ale?”
Okada blinked. “I’ll get you some. You go sit in the living room.”
Okada hurried into the kitchen to fix a drink for his friend. As he put the glass on the table in front of Tsuyoshi he sat down opposite him on the couch.
“Okay, what happened?” he asked, sounding worried.
“Jun, I….” He broke off, sobbing slightly.

“Shit, Tsuyoshi,” the other boy cursed, hurrying over to his friend. “You’re scaring me, you know. What’s wrong?”
“Sorry,” Tsuyoshi sniffed. “I’m kinda scared too.”
“Of what?”
“Of myself.”
“You don’t make any sense,” the V6-boy told him.
Tsuyoshi shook his head. His voice was even as he started to relate.

“A girl took me home tonight. And yes, she took me home for…. that. Well, she was a bit older. She wanted to do it. And I was there and she was… undressing herself… and touching me…”
“And what – you fucked up?” Okada asked.
“You can say that,” the KinKi Kid sneered.
“But isn’t it okay for a first time? I mean…”

Tsuyoshi interrupted him. “We didn’t do it.” A short pause. However, Okada dared not speak up for he didn’t know what was to come. “It just felt so…. off…. The more she touched me, the more I felt she was too close, there was too much, it was just…. not right…”
“Well, so you don’t want to have sex yet,” Okada shrugged. “That’s okay. You’re young.”
“It’s different,” Tsuyoshi insisted.
“How?”

“I didn’t want to kiss her in the first place. I didn’t even like her. I just wanted… something…”
“Well, that’s not very nice,” Okada told him, “but still…”
“…but I didn’t find it,” Tsuyoshi continued ignoring the other completely. “I didn’t find anything pleasant in her.”
“Okay, I see….” The other boy licked his lips. “So you broke up with her?”
Tsuyoshi nodded.
“Alright,” Okada nodded back. “Did she make a scene?”
“I didn’t give her the chance,” the KinKi Kid told him. “I left immediately and came here.”
“Hm,” Okada mused. “Maybe….”

“I think I might be gay,” Tsuyoshi suddenly blurted out, body trembling.
Okada blinked at that. “What?!”
“Don’t make me say it again,” Tsuyoshi pleaded, voice repressed.
A longer silence followed. Okada licked his lips assessing the situation as best he could. He was too taken aback by that sudden confession to react properly, though. He shook his head.
“What… why do you think that?” he asked.
“It’s quite obvious.”

“What – because you found that girl unappealing?” Okada patted his shoulder lightly. “Look, it takes more than a pretty face or even a nice body to evoke feelings of desire. Just because you don’t like one particular girl, that doesn’t mean you don’t like any girl at all. I’d rather say, it’s quite usual. I don’t like a lot of girls. I’m pretty picky myself, see?” he offered, smiling. “Don’t worry so much. Just because you don’t feel that way towards one person…”
“But I do,” Tsuyoshi told him, tears in his eyes.
“Eh?” Okada blinked.

“I do feel that way,” he explained, as he really started to cry, “towards one person.”
Okada gulped as he looked at his friend’s shaking form. “Who?” he asked silently.
“Koichi,” Tsuyoshi breathed out, finally breaking down.
Okada pulled him close and hugged him tightly. Tsuyoshi sobbed against his chest, heaving repeatedly as he released all the pressure that had been building up inside of him.
“Oh god,” he choked out. “Oh god, what am I gonna do?” He clung to his friend desperately.
“It’s okay,” Okada assured him. “It’s gonna be okay. Don’t cry. You… well, then it’s just like that. It’s not bad, you know. And Koichi is a wonderful guy.”
Tsuyoshi shook his head. “No, no, no, no, no!!!!! Please, no! I can’t. I….”

“That is something that can’t be helped,” the V6-boy told him. “It’s just like that for you.”
“But I don’t want that,” Tsuyoshi insisted.
“I see,” Okada sighed. “Well it didn’t really work out, that girl thing, did it?”
“But you said, just because I don’t like one doesn’t mean anything,” Tsuyoshi argued.
“Stop kidding,” Okada huffed. “It means something as soon as you fall for a guy.”
“Oh god, please, no!” Tsuyoshi kept pleading. “Why? Why me? Why do I have to like him?”
“It’s not that bad,” Okada informed him. “Personally, I don’t find anything wrong with it in the first place. And then you’re very well-suited. Being a Johnny you can easily live that sort of life. You won’t be discovered, no awkward questions…. Many people hit it much worse, you know.”

“That’s not even the end of it,” Tsuyoshi told him.
Okada stiffened. “Don’t tell me. He rejected you.”
The KinKi Kid shook his head. “I rejected him.”
“What?!”
“I was so shocked when he told he liked me. I didn’t know what to do. And I didn’t want… So I told him to get lost and never speak of that again.”
“Oh, goodness,” the V6-boy sighed. “You’re really in for it all.”
Tsuyoshi just sobbed again.

“But, you know,” Okada mused. “If Koichi’s a clever guy, he’ll wait for a second chance around.”
“With me having a girlfriend?” Tsuyoshi asked sarcastically.
“He keeps claiming he knows you better than anyone else. Let’s see him prove that,” the other boy stated.
“But I’m not even….”
“I know,” Okada smiled. “You still have to come to terms with yourself. Do that. Sort yourself out. Then we go from there. For now try and get some sleep. I’ll get a futon for you.”

“Thanks,” Tsuyoshi sniffed. “Do you really think it’s okay?”
Okada nodded. “Of course. It’s perfectly fine. Love is… well, love. I don’t think there should be any measuring on it.”
Thank you. Tsuyoshi mouthed.
“Go, get cleaned up,” Okada told him, throwing him a towel.
Tsuyoshi nodded and got up.
