Intro: After so long a time, all the problems have been solved. But then... what happens after the solving of a problem?
Note: Yay, Final chapter of the series. Thanks to all of you, who read this. I had a lot of fun writing and I'm pleased with the outcome now.
“Hey, Koichi,” Koshioka called out. “Let’s go for dinner?”
Koichi turned around with a smile. “I’d love to. Tsuyoshi?”
“Ah, I’ll pass for tonight,” the other decided. “Getting home early for once might get me a reward,” he grinned.
“Well, then,” Koichi grinned right back. “Give my regards to your lover.”
“That again might earn me a biting remark,” Tsuyoshi told him, smiling apologetically.
“Ah, he’s still got it in for me, huh?” Koichi sighed.
“Pretty much,” his partner agreed. “It’s not entirely your fault, though.”
“Oh, no?”
“No. I’m also at fault… because I simply can’t keep my hands off you,” Tsuyoshi teased, at that exact moment pinching Koichi’s butt playfully.
Koichi yelped in surprise, but then laughed at the other’s teasing.
“Oi, what are you doing? If you keep this up, I’ll have to report to Shinji-kun,” Koichi dared.
“Hm,” Tsuyoshi mused. “Wanna get your ass kicked again?”
“Asshole,” Koichi chirped, sticking his tongue out at Tsuyoshi.
“Eat well,” Tsuyoshi called out, as the rest of the group made to leave for dinner.
“Right,” Koichi smiled at him. “See you tomorrow.”
“Yup, see you,” Tsuyoshi waved.

“Okay,” Koichi called out with a grin. “I think if we push Uchi-kun any further, he’s gonna collapse. Let’s call it a day.”
“Hey, I’m not a green little newbie anymore,” Uchi complained with a pout.
“And neither lost for words anymore,” Koichi analysed. “You’ve matured quite a lot this past year. I’m proud of you.”
Uchi stood there, staring at Koichi.
Koichi blinked. “What?”
Uchi merely shook his head. “Sorry,” he all but choked out. “It’s just that… you’ve never said anything like that before.”
“Well,” Koichi mused, “the standards are high, but naturally, when you do well, you’ll be appreciated.”
“Thanks,” Uchi beamed. “I’m very proud to be part of this production too. Having the chance to work with all of you.”
Koichi simply nodded his approval. “Now, otsukare. And don’t forget the middle part of the new dance again,” Koichi pointed out.
Uchi blinked again, but Koichi already turned to collect his stuff.
“Wow,” Yonehana said, clasping Uchi’s shoulder. “He’s definitely impressed by your work.”
“You think?” Uchi asked sceptically.
“Absolutely,” Machida agreed. “He rarely ever praises us to begin with. Saying that he’s proud of you… it’s almost as though he wants to tease us.”
“I totally don’t get it,” Uchi shrugged. “But then, the very last thing he said was already that I shouldn’t slack.”
“Ah, Kou is just like that,” Machida told him. “First, he easily gets embarrassed when praising others. And then he really doesn’t want you to slack, because he told you that you’re doing a good job. Actually, he’s expecting you to work even harder now.”
“Fantastic…” Uchi sighed.
“Hey, it’s still a good thing,” Yonehana decided. “Just think of all the things you learned here that you weren’t able to do before. And now think how many more things you can learn, if you keep this up.”
Uchi thought about that and a smile came to his face.
“Right,” he nodded. “Working with all of you is really good fun and I definitely learned a lot. And I want to learn more still.”
“See?” Machida grinned. “We’ll be rising together, okay?”
“Okay.”

“See?” Koichi chirped out happily. “I knew from the very beginning.”
“What?” Tackey asked, quirking a brow.
“That it’s a good idea…” Koichi crooned suggestively as he leaned in to kiss the other, “…to sleep with the boss,” he whispered against Tackey’s lips.
“I’m still not your boss,” Tackey corrected him, but let himself enjoy the affectionate attention he so unexpectedly received.
“Hmmmmm,” Koichi hummed gleefully. “But you still got me that contract.”
“Koichi, if there’s something you want, you can go straight to Johnny’s office and talk to him. And if he’s not there to talk to you, you can wait and have coffee while he boards a plane to come here in order to talk to you exclusively.”
Koichi blinked for a second, as if pondering what to say next. Then he pouted, pulling away from the other.
“You totally destroyed the mood,” he accused the other. “No sense for romance at all. And they call me a geek.”
Tackey chuckled lightly at that. “You are the cutest geek alive. Definitely. And… well, sorry. Truth be told I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to romance.”
“Oh, come on,” Koichi dragged out. “All the smaller ones always loved you. Don’t tell me… a little crush, some experimenting…”
“You might not believe me,” Tackey answered with a smile, “but truth is that just about all of them saw me as some kind of older brother. The kind that will make you feel off when you learn that they even have sex.”
Koichi chuckled lightly at that. “Doesn’t sound very nice. But then… older siblings having sex…” Koichi fake-shuddered roughly, making Tackey laugh.
“Idiot,” he chuckled affectionately.
“That’s not a very nice thing to say,” Koichi told him, seeking more contact again.
“What would you rather I called you?” the other asked playfully.
Koichi grinned. “I remember a thing or two from last night…” he suggested, kissing his lover and dragging him off to… wherever they would happen to hit the floor – or any other suitable flat underground.

“Don’t tell me,” Shinji sighed. “Koichi.”
“Sorry,” Tsuyoshi smiled apologetically. “He writes he wants to fly to New York tonight. Next to his musical, he wants to have two KinKi shows too and it’s important I come with him and… oh, I have to get a decent suit.”
“What…” Shinji stared. “Tonight?”
“Yup,” Tsuyoshi confirmed. “And then he wants to get a make-over so that he’ll look more like Gakkun… and take Pan to a dog stylist to suit the colour of her fur to that on his hair.”
Shinji still stared at him. “What… are you talking about?”
“Sorry,” Tsuyoshi finally chuckled. “If I promise that I won’t fly to New York tonight, is it okay if I go to the studio and listen to our new single?”
“Oh, that’s what he wrote,” Shinji sighed in relief. Then he glared mildly at his lover. “You think you know which buttons to push, huh?”
Tsuyoshi merely gave him a sheepish grin.
“I am too good a man for you, you know that, right?” Shinji sighed, but couldn’t help a smile spreading on his face.
“There isn’t a man on this planet who could appreciate you appropriately,” Tsuyoshi told him.
He gave his lover a soft peck on his cheek and then turned to run off. Just as he was standing in the door he stopped and turned around.
“Hey,” he called out.
“Hm?”
“Get up,” Tsuyoshi commanded.
“What?”
“Come on, get up,” Tsuyoshi urged him. “You’re coming with me. It won’t take long. Afterwards we can go out for dinner. Plus, I want you to hear the song too.”
Shinji thought about it for a moment. Then he moved.
“Okay, I’ll be ready in a minute.”

“I understand if you want to break up now,” Uchi mumbled miserably.
Matsuzaki was sitting next to him and starring off into space as he had done for at least five minutes. Finally he shook his head.
“I just don’t get it,” he said desperately. “Why on earth did you tell me this now? I mean, if it’s just for your conscience, that’s simply… cruel. Because I really didn’t want to know. So tell me, is there any specific reason, a point that you hope to improve by giving me this information.”
Uchi looked at his lover and bit his lip. “You know,” he began warily. “I thought that it was just Koichi’s… I don’t know… the kick, or whatever you call it. But when I thought about it, I realised that there were things he offered to me without me having to ask for them and I found a lot of appeal in that. It’s just that… somehow I thought that just because you don’t know these things automatically… I mean, I believe we can still find a way… and talk about these things. I realise, of course, it’s difficult and embarrassing, but then… isn’t that the point of a relationship? Not being embarrassing, I mean, but… you know, to find ways to deal with such things. I can’t deny, there was… that kind of thrill with Koichi, but other than that I don’t find anything with him. With you I feel loved and safe and cared for. It’s just a few little things that might make it even better and… if you still want to… I’d love to have all of that with you.”
A longer silence followed, a heavy silence that felt awkward. At a certain point Uchi couldn’t bear it anymore.
“Don’t you… want to say anything?” he asked warily.
“No…” Matsuzaki said plainly before he grabbed his lover and kissed him passionately.
