First Introduction (PLEASE READ): Okay, this one hit me really unexpectedly. I saw a PV today and then suddenly things started forming together and after not even an hour a basic story was set. Things kept adding, making the story more and more defined and before I even knew it this was produced. It's a kind of intro-teaser. I want to check whether there will be readers for this story, since it's gonna be quite different from what I've done thus far. Basically, my main thought about the starting point character-line was "What if KinKi Kids would have met under very different, rather unfortunate circumstances? What would they have become, how would their relationship have developed?" So, this is a complete AU setting (again?! O_o ) and... well, even though I'd like them to end up together, I really can't make any promises for this one. Well, my feeling says yes, but it's gonna be very different and I'm even thinking of bringing a het-pairing in. (Wah, that's gonna be a first for me! I've been writing fanfiction for many years, but I never had a het. ^^" ) So, these are the conditions under which I would like to start this story. I think this will be very interesting and I hope that you're gonna like the idea. Read the teaser to get a first glimpse. If you don't understand what exactly is going on, never mind, I'll explain everything as I get started for real. If you want me to, that is. Just checking before I spend a lot of time with plot development that nobody's interested in. ^^" Well, I hope you'll like the idea - the header already took quite a while to create. Oh well, that's my own fault. Anyway, please read. I hope you'll like it. ^^

Koichi sighed deeply. The wind had brisked up and it was time to return to the shelter. He took another glance at the scene in front of him. What kept saddening him the most was the fact that they were actually not surrounded by a dead desert, but by something that looked like a resemblance of the world he remembered. He knew, though, that it was an illusion. Or a mis-perception, perhaps. He knew that even though everything looked normal, a single wrong movement, or a careless touch could kill him. Or at least he couldn't be sure that it didn't, just because he had gotten lucky once. Well, very lucky, really. Not only had he not been killed, but he had gotten out much better than he had been before. He hadn't been able to simply run up a tree, or hold open fire in his hands before all of this had happened. And yet, even though he could do things that he knew just about everybody dreamt of - oh well, everybody but one person, he reminded himself - he was still just as helpless as anyone else, facing the scene in front of him. It was as though the world simply kept moving, but refused to take them along. With another sigh he turned around, the jade beads on the rope which he always kept wrapped around his pants clattering. Time to go home.

Tsuyoshi inspected the street carefully. He couldn’t detect anything harmful, but he knew better than to rely on a mere glimpse. Slowly, carefully, he slipped out the door. It was rather difficult to make anything out in the dark, but he had stopped taking lighting items with him after a frightening spikemole had found him and almost ripped his arm off. The scar was still clearly visible, going from his shoulder almost down to his wrist, seeming to wind itself around his arm. Hearing a slight rustling sound he whipped around and saw a shadow moving in a corner. Without blinking he drew his gun and a sharp shot echoed from the dusty walls. It had become every-day business – killing. At first he had thought it was a bit unfair. Everybody needed to eat, so why did only he and Yonehana have to hunt? But after some time he had accepted the fact and the position that came with it. Hunters were group leaders. They were responsible for their people and Tsuyoshi took good care of his newly formed family. He picked up the poor creature he had detected and killed, thinking that probably he’d done that little thing a favour. It looked like a blend between a duck and a mule. Not that it mattered. So long as they got cleaned properly, they were safe to eat. Stuffing the animal away into a little bag, he swiftly fled the street again, moving back into the safe area of the shelter.

So, what do you guys think? What kind of world do Koichi and Tsuyoshi live in? What has happened to them and everybody else?  What's with Koichi's playing with fire? And what the hell is a spikemole? Please tell me if you want to read more. I'd love to write this story. ^^
